So the kid has scored
25
26
and
40
goals in his last three seasons.
Just scored on his scotland debut.

Why isnt anyone signing him?
85 goals in 140 games.

Kind of related, here's some quotes from Rodgers on lower league players:

"I won't pay 'anything at all costs' - absolutely not. If there is a player out there who can make a difference, we will do all that we possibly can to bring him to the football club.

"What I won't be prepared to do is waste time, money and effort to bring in a player who won't add value to the club. There have to be certain factors to make a player want to come and play for you. Unfortunately for people, money distorts the reality.

"I prefer the hungry player - those that want to succeed. Of course they will earn good money, and they will get their value and worth if they perform. I would rather work that way."

The 39-year-old noted that he concentrates on the value of players when bringing in new signings, while hard-working players from lower leagues are personal favourites of his as they reflect the history of Liverpool’s transfer policy.

Rodgers said: "I am very much conscious on the value and worth of players. There's no doubt there are top players who have earned every single penny they get, but you can also get certain types of players for less.

"The problem sometimes is there's a snobbery towards players at a lesser club. It's an ignorance.

"You get scouts at a big club who see a young player and think maybe he can't play. Then he will go to a big club and all of a sudden they want him. It's about making those decisions earlier.

"Look at the squad here, and there aren't too many who have dropped from heaven to play for Liverpool. A lot have come through lower clubs, made their way and now they are making their name at Liverpool.

Forget this for us btw.
Just realised hes from Oldham. So he'll be proper racist and we do not need any more racists at the club.

Those stats are very very good. However, you need to break down how he scored most of the goals in the last two seasons. How many were penalties, headers, shots from distance, shots from the box. More importantly how many were scored by beating defenders in one-on-one/two/three situations - if this figure is quite high then we are looking at a potential new Torres/Ronaldo type player. He could of course be a fox in the box type - in which case he may not be suitable for BR system. Also need to assess if he has pace, and ability to run with the ball.

Ok. I'll leave that with you then.

Or you could just ask Pesam, who has watched him play way more than anyone else here. From what little I've seen of him I think he's closer to Carroll than any of the others you've mentioned.

Knock yourself out.

He scores all sorts of goals including a couple of excellent long rage efforts. He difficult to pigeon-hole as to what type of player he is but I've said before that reminds me a bit of Lineker in that he is almost always in the right place at the right time and he always get some part of his body on the end of the ball to score.

There's no way of saying for sure that he's good enough for a team with top 4 aspirations and, I'm going to disappoint Oncy here, my gut feeling is he will end up playing most of his career at the top end of the Championship or bottom end of the EPL.

I noticed Ross McCormack scored for Scotland also last night and I can't believ nobody has taken a chance on him this summer. He was available for about £1m due to his contract being up and a few clubs sniffed around but nobody went for him and he's on the verge of (or maybe already has) signing a new contract at Leeds.

I still think he has the potential to be a very good EPL player and for £1m he would have been a steal.

Apropos of nothing, Leeds also made the signing of the summer, Jason Pearce from Pompey for £500,000. He's worth 10 times that and will be in the EPL next season with or without Leeds.
