Maybe a sweetener in the Carroll deal? Be good for him to get a season of playing time under his belt. He'll prob go down to London and go on the piss with Andy and never return to us.

In certain matches last season he filled in at DM, CM, attacking midfielder and as a forward. True, he went through a very poor patch but at the very least it would be handy to keep someone that willing and versatile in the squad next year.

he's a bald prick. sell him quicksmart.

Send him out on loan and see how he develops. It's hard for him to get minutes now stuck behind Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho and Suarez in the positions he is better suited at. Lucas' spot is open for a challenge, but he has neither the temperament, experience or ability at this point to play there.

He's just going to endure another frustrating season if he stays here rather than go out and get some minutes; he's even had to ask to play U-21 games just to get some minutes to play (which I see as a very good sign of a player with the right attitude). If he does really well on loan, he can then come back and try to dislodge Allen / Henderson, as Gerrard would be a year older and probably starting to get more rest in between games.

nah.

Rodgers is so buoyed by our purchases in the last window that he's going to sell almost everyone and bring in a whole squad of amazing 10m players.

He can do that "I need glasses" gesture every time the ball flies about a mile above the heads of everyone in midfield.

Yeah but he wasn't good in any of those positions. Plus he seems to rate himself way higher than he actually is.

He said every word to Fergie I wanted to say in exactly the matter I wanted to say it.

He can stay forever for just that. However, I think he's alright as a player, too so he's sorted

Shelvey is a good player, hopefully between him and coutinho we have have an overall replacement for Gerrard, lets be honest no single player is ever going to replace him!! We need to hope a couple of players can pick up his slack!
