Pun intended.

I can see how this embarrassing word stemmed from the "Easy" generation.

No sign of any pun here.

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

Recoba was a master

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

It is pretty easy yeah - we probably should congratulate each other on the pitch using the queens english.

We don't.

Put it down to our youthful exuberance/the fact were actually all cunts

Gourcuff Wonderful Goal

Winner.

Robbie's goal still shades it for me. I reckon what he did there is harder than what Gourcuff did, superb though that was.

For me, one of the most talented footballers I have ever seen - such a shame he never reached the heights that his potential yearned - but when he did play, fucking hell he was one hell of a footballer.

Alvaro Recoba - compilation of great skills
Some amasing skills and pace but christ his end product was poor. It's a highlight real with hardly any successful through balls, goals, or crosses.
He runs around like a headless chicken.

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

I think that was his last game for them.

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

By the way, i nominate this.

Its a nothing little moment and in the grand scheme of things meant little, but it just showed the skill he had.
The ball goes dead and he just nonchalantly flicks it into touch. Such easy languid style. Some skills are a bit tryhard, this was kinda organic, he just kicked the ball out that way.

I saw it live and was just blown away by it.

Ronaldinho Showboat

It annoys me that he got fat and shit.

I used to love watching him for Barcelona. He was so fucking good - one of *the* talents of our generation - and he shouldn't have peaked at 26.

He fucking LLLLLlloooooooooved a drink..........and a pie.......and a woman!
For a few years there he was the best in the world and is undoubtably one of the most skillful (if not the most) players ever. So much fun to watch.

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

I could find any clip from my favourite five or six players ever (non Liverpool) like Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldo etc but probably my favourite player in the past 10-15 years (and Brendans too i believe) is this man.

Francesco Totti TOP 10 GOALS

He scores many goals of all kinds, can pass better than anyone ive ever seen, has all the tricks and flicks of Ronaldinho etc and is almost impossible to knock of the ball.

Just a mindblowing player, who i was lucky enough to see play live.

Re: Unbelievable jolly spiffing ball control!

I like the clip where someone comes in to tackle him and he just makes the ball bounce so they slide under it... I'm not making that up, right?

I watched a Guti compilation that someone made in honour of his service at Real and that man could play a through ball. Some of his assists were incredible. He should've been more than a squaddie at Real with his talent.

Guti - Goodbye to a Legend // 2010 // Best passes & goals //

Roopy, is that you?
Ha. Ive been singing Totti's praises for way longer than SCM has been around mate. I think he's probably my favourite non red ever. I think Gerrard is the most complete player i have ever seen, but Totti is probably the most complete attacker.

Agree.

Both fantastic players with different strengths.

Both loyal to their clubs.

Doesn't get any better than that.

Wow, those left footed volleys are amazing, amazing, amazing. Number 2 is my pick of the bunch.

Maybe not quite Bendter's patented under-the-crossbar-techniqueâ„¢ 😉 , but I suspect that volleying technique is as close to perfection as a footballer can be expected to get.

Totti sure is a great player. But my favourite non-red ever is Gabriel Batistuta.

What a striker he was.
