Henry edited that tweet, the other said we were out if intensive care but still in hospital as a club. I think that made it more clear Jules. We're not saved until we're back on our perch is what he believes IMO.

By my recollection Squiggles that rule is laid down by the premierleague itself and not by government, who only made the recommendations in the report, other clubs in England do still have terracing after all.... but i take your point it would take a rule change, personally I think that if the club went for it we could probably push it through.

It boils down to how much we want it as fans and how much value FSG see in it as a factor for a new stadium.

I have no idea why I quoted FFF by accident.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's illegal but we wouldn't be able to compete in the Premier League. I'd rather sit down and watch us play Arsenal than stand and watch us play Yeoville.

I'm not against standing at all providing it's implemented right. If you could watch a match for less than twenty quid I would be there most weeks.

The premier league is alllll about money and power Squiggs.... do you honestly see them booting us out if we asked them to have a safe standing area? we could do it... unlikely as all hell mind you but...

Anyway Yeovil is cracking little place 😉

2. Partly because of that and partly because of the sheer costs involved, extending Anfield remains much more likely than a new build and JH seems confident that this will be enough to enable us to eventually match ManUre's success on the field.

Not quite sure where you got this idea JJ as Henry quite clearly states :

We would love to expand Anfield, but there are enough local and regulatory issues to keep that avenue stalled for years with no assurances that once begun it would bear any fruit.

So he clearly feels that extending Anfield is a non-starter. TBH I don't care what it's called if we end up with a new 70,000 seater stadium and huge new sponsors committed to supporting us for the next 10-20 years.

As someone said above .. Henry is a hugely impressive owner.

Fair point Froggy. My initial reading of what he said was that a new stadium is out unless we sell naming rights, whereas they would at least be willing to start the process (however long it may turn out to be) of extending Anfield. On re-reading it I now think he's pretty much saying they most likely will sell those naming rights, so that's the way they expect to go.
