I dont think he's got what it takes. He's not nasty enough for me, I think any manager needs to be ruthless, & I just dont think he has it in him.
I hope I'm wrong. The appointment of Trigger is his first mistake.

Apparently he like a ruthless streak in his coaching style...... I can't see it somehow...... He doesn't seem the type..... But he does say don't judge me by the nature of the player I was... I hope it goes well for him and make success of it for both trigger & digger..
I imagine there will be a mass influx of Liverpool reserves playing for Tranmere next season...
Barnes: "I Insist On Hard Work, Discipline & Desire"
John Barnes told the press of his delight at taking up the challenge of becoming new Tranmere Manager.
The former England international is joined at the Club by new Assistant Manager Jason McAteer on a two year contract and says he can't wait to get started.
He told Tranmere World: "This is a wonderful opportunity for myself and Jason. I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead. I know it's not going to be easy but I believe we can do something special here. I would have walked over hot coals to get here.
"Tranmere was always a club I admired. I was really impressed with the work Tranmere did in the community. I know they're a strong family club and the work the players do reminds me of my days at Watford. I always felt it would be a fantastic place to come and work. I am local, and Jason is even more local than me.
"It's an added bonus that it's my local team. My kids go to school across the road and I know the area. But if you don't win football matches it counts for nothing."
Turning his thoughts towards next season, Barnes outlined his thoughts on how he will manage his team.
He added: "I want to get a structure on board in terms of the philosophy of how we want to play. There are no bad players, you have to create an environment which can bring the best out of them. If you organise players and give them clearly defined roles without making it too complicated, you can be consistent. Getting a system down as early as possible that the players understand will help our consistency throughout the season.
"Having played at the highest level and being the sort of player I was, people may have a misconception of the sort of coach I want to be. I insist on hard work, discipline and desire from my team. With Jamaica we played against the Cayman Islands and Mexico and in both games I demanded the same intensity, discipline and desire in both games. If you have that attitude in every game, including pre-season games, you will be consistent.
"I'm looking to instil my philosophy on the players on the first day in pre-season."
Meanwhile, Barnes said he hoped his management style, rather than his name, would give him the edge in the transfer market.
"My name won't give me an advantage on the field, as I'm not playing and neither is Jason. It could be an advantage in terms of speaking to managers like Arsene Wenger and them picking up the phone, but what is more important is that I can convince that sort of person that the sort of football we will play will help their players develop."
There will be more from John Barnes and Jason McAteer throughout the week.
