Netherlands footballing great Johan Cruyff has died of cancer aged 68. (Taken from the BBC)

Big big fan of the Cryuff turn. Maybe that's why I've always had a soft spot for our own Adam Lallana. Did anyone on here get to see Cruyff play back in the day?

I saw him at Anfield when he was playing for Barcelona. We'd won the away leg 1-0 and so a 1-1 draw was enough to knock them out. I can't remember Cruyff doing 'anything spectacular in the game. Indeed, My main memory of the game was the Kop singing, 'Barcelona, there's fuck all down for you' at the final whistle. I can't see us singing that again anytime soon
