Actually you're right, I think a few people had him in there. Lallana was in the team though. Had a look back at a few years, and there is usually at least one strange choice most years(in hindsight). Not saying he's not a good player, just that using a team of the year as any sort of proof is not exactly reliable way of knowing if they'll be any good any other season.

Yeah, I know its not a good or reliable source. He's also at the top in regards of defensive stats this season.

The top scout over here who has worked at clubs like Leverkusen, Hannover, Monaco and Zenit wrote a bit about him and was very positive.
That is good enough for me to at least be positive about this signing and give him some time to adapt.
