Thinks he owns the place

Is rumoured to be on his way out. Ancelotti doesnt rate him if reports today are true. If he's made availeble, SIGN..
Exactly what we need, and has, as far as I know always spoken well about us.

A few years ago when there was talk of him leaving (probably his agent renegotiating his deal) it was said he wanted to stay in England, and would only sign for a team playing in the CL. If that holds true, we're one of a very select group of suitors.

If he could put his injury woes behind him, or at least give us 25-30 league games he could be brilliant for us.

Would Chelsea sell to us? And would the price become unreasonable due to competition even if they would?

I wouldn't really want to pay any more than 6-8M for him to be honest. Bit crazy given his talent, but he's injury prone.

All part of his new contract negotiations. The window licking jamook would never leave London anyway.

Destined for Tottenham, no doubt.

Not unlikely, but I'm sure he'd rather play for us - especially as he'd be a probable starter in most games, which wouldn't be true at Chelsea. I think he's a brilliant little player. The big question is his injury record.

Good post and I agree entirely, although I'd probably stretch to £10-11M providing he passed an intensive medical.

Then again we let Degen, Kewell, Cisse and Aurelio sign for us, so maybe I have too much faith.

I'd much rather Pacheco or Hammil break through into the first team. Cole is a great player however I can't remember the last time he played.

we should definitely go in for him, he's better than Spurs and should be looking for a Champions League club.

if Chelsea dont sell to us we can get him for free next year as his contract is running down and it seems they're buying Zhirkov and have extended Malouda. it's a strange situation because the press aren't writing about this (Agger and Arbeloa are two players who have 1 year left and have had a lot of press), it's like he doesn't exist anymore

He's gormless, inury prone and not what we need. He'd be a luxury signing.

He's gormless, injury prone and *exactly* what we need. A PL-proven, creative, goalscoring attacking midfielder who can play in any of the positions behind Torres but is particularly adept in the LW slot. How would that make him a luxury signing? He'd be in the first XI every week if he was fit.

I prefer the balance of a left footer. He won't sign anyway, so it's an utterly redundant topic.

Why wouldn't he sign?

Bit harsh

Because they wouldn't sell him to us.

then we'll get him for free, blert.

he's a good player and English, why turn your nose up?

Scum are in the market for both RW and LW so I suspect he go there instead of to us.

So we're discussing a player we don't need and can't sign until next summer?

Who's the blert again?

Is this 6+5 thing actually coming in... seems to have been a lot of talk about it and that we need t buy English, though I can't recall readng anything saying it's been agreed... anyone?

Why not? According to you, we should sign Deco. He plays for the same club, in case you hadn't noticed.

That is true, you frustrated little upstart, although I'm sure they'd think that Joe Cole is the more important player and wouldn't sell him to a rival.

And why would they think Cole was 'the more important player'? Because he's younger and much better than Deco, perhaps?

What was your point again?

Well exactly. Despite that, Deco would suit us more in our current set up.

Ok with you, upstart?
