Osman is a genuinely good guy, when he got in the England squad he was at one of lads tournaments and stayed the full day, despite having a game a few days later, he was completely approachable and helpful. He then reffed one of his games a few months later and was great with the kids, a real role model. No ego, just really wanting to give something back at grass roots level.

It pains me to say it, but I think the best ex-player pundit is Gary Neville.

Despite his previously professed hatred of Scousers, when he is covering a Liverpool match, he is always scrupulously fair. His analysis is usually spot-on.
Yeah Neville raised the bar when it comes to Punditry. Before him all you had was the likes of Shearer, Lawrenson, Townsend and Andy Gray who all just spoke the say shit. Once Neville came around he was unfortunately a breath of fresh air. Now pundits are being a lot more detailed in their analysis now and Rio's not too bad. But Neville is still the best IMO.

Not quite. I think Hansen did what Neville did, without the fancy touchscreens, and he was the one who raised the bar. It's just that he got bored after a while and spent his last few years limiting himself to mainly lazy comments. Neville rejuvenated the gig, but again he's already a pale reflection of his early work. As for his LFC critiques, I'd be more interested in how mancs react to his critiques of them, because Carra has rapidly become a massive pain in the arse when he comments on LFC.

I think Gary Neville has done well to restore his reputation, after the cruel and unusual sex acts he performed on his mother, as reported by the Anfield crowd.

Obviously his time as a boyhood Kopite has stayed with him. 😉

He's quite a divisive figure among the Bitters fanbase, "The Skem Grass/ Snake" seem to be quite popular nicknames.

Not sure why, Bitters get upset very easily (cf Koeman Xmas tree decorations)

I've found they get particularly aereated if one actually refers to them as Bitters face to face, which I've found myself doing "by accident on purpose" from time to time.

I don't mind her voice...

Yer man talks a lot. Is it an interview or a monologue?

Wow - sod the voice, the whole (lack of) content and phrasing was so boring and, simultaneously, irrating I killed it within a minute.

And the poverty chic jeans, a particular hate of mine. She's a good journalist who gets some really good stories, but she makes her voice seem even worse due to the fact that she speaks in such long and rambling sentences. They have her on LFCTV quite a lot, sitting quite close to poor old Chris Bascombe, and he looks as if there's a bee buzzing about in his earhole whenever she's speaking.

I'll bet. As so often with journos, there's a good reason she's principally a writer as opposed to a broadcaster.

Nope. Chinese but with red hair. Though Seema looks great too !

Think you may mean Jamie Yeo going on surname and hair 🙂

I can't say I was paying attention to what she was saying.

Football pundits should be ugly, hairy men. These "chicks" know fuck all about football and every time they open their pretty mouths, it's like fingernails on the blackboard.

There are plenty of porn sites available for blokes who feel the need for eye candy.

Diletta Leotta is the best chick in football punditry/hosting 🙂

Ah, you're slashing now. Once you start slashing the whole conversation gets incoherent. It's only pundits we're supposed to be talking about, not pundit slash summat else. That's the way of madness!
