Liverpool have shown the 'greatest interest' amongst clubs monitoring RB Leipzig defender Joško Gvardiol according to a report.
The 20-year-old was outstanding in helping Croatia to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup where they were eventually beaten by Lionel Messi and Argentina.

Gvardiol's performances in Qatar have further enhanced his reputation and he has been repeatedly linked with a move to some of Europe's biggest clubs over the past few weeks with talk of a €100million price tag.

Liverpool were not mentioned as one of the clubs in the race for the central defender but according to journalist and transfer market expert Rudy Galetti that is not the case.
He claims that 'to date', they have 'shown the greatest interest' in a move for the dominant central defender.

Leipzig can seemingly remain relaxed however after only recently extending Gvardiol's contract until 2027 meaning it would take a huge bid to convince them to part with a player who is a huge prospect.

So add Gvardiol to Amrabat & Bellingham. We're going to be well stocked but broke it seems.

€60 million for this 16 year old, €100 million for that 20 year old, €150 million for that other 19 year old— what a load of delusional nonsense. Only Man City, PSG and maybe Newcastle have that much money to waste.

Nkunku to Chelsea done according to Fabrizio Romano. €63m for the summer.

I guess they negotiated add ons and a payment structure rather than wanting to pay €53m up front.

The latest signings Chelsea have made from the Bundesliga havent been very good, though.

So what would that make the Arse then? Seemingly they're buying Felix, Danilo and Mudryk. That's well over £200m right there on top of what Arteta has already spent.

The fucking crab is staying so the club can only get to sign 1 player this winter unless it either off-loads players or buys under 21s

AGENT: ‘ARTHUR STAYS AT LIVERPOOL, WON’T RETURN TO JUVENTUS WITH ALLEGRI’

Dec 17, 2022 16:13 - by Susy Campanale - 1 Comment

Arthur Melo will remain at Liverpool until the end of the season, assures his agent, but ‘obviously if Max Allegri remains at Juventus, we’ll have to find a different solution.’
The midfielder made the move on loan on September 1 for €4.5m with an option to buy for a further €37.5m.
He managed only two appearances for the senior squad and was then ruled out by surgery on a back issue, expected to return to the field next month.
Now Federico Pastorello, the agent who negotiated that move, has shot down reports that the former Barcelona man could be on the move again in the transfer window.
“It started in August from his pig-headedness to seek something else,” Pastorello told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Liverpool had already sent signals they appreciated Arthur Melo, but didn’t have the space in the squad. We therefore monitored injury updates and at the same time maintained an open channel with the Liverpool directors.

“We were a bit lucky due to the bad luck of others, because Liverpool had several injuries and while we were negotiating on August 28-29 with other clubs – because staying at Juventus was the least likely option, Jordan Henderson got hurt.
“That’s when Liverpool called on the penultimate day of the transfer session, we flew out on the final day for the medical and signature.”
Officially the paperwork released by Juventus states that Liverpool paid €4.5m for the one-season loan and have an option to buy for another €37.5m, but the exact details seem to be a little sketchy.
“He will 100 per cent remain at Liverpool in January. That was never up for debate and I don’t know who suggested he could return to Turin, but that is absolutely not the case and nobody has ever discussed it.
“As for what happens when this season ends, we’ll see. There isn’t a proper option to buy for Liverpool, but obviously if Allegri remains at Juventus then we’ll have to find a different solution.
“Should Liverpool therefore offer to renew the loan or make an offer, I think it would go well.”
Arthur Melo has been mentioned several times in wiretaps between Juventus directors as the ideal example of a player whose value was inflated to increase capital gains during the exchange with Miralem Pjanic to Barcelona.

40 million euros seems a bit too cheap for us. We are only interested in midfielders 100 million euros or higher.

Yeah and he’s not injured - we normally don’t touch midfielders unless they have a history of dying regularly.

Relatively cheap and fit!!!!

Nah… we wouldn’t touch him with Bluebell’s Blue Bellend!!!

Reds ready to sanction Phillips sale

Liverpool could finally be about to let defender Nat Phillips leave in January as they consider reaping a financial return for the 25-year-old.
The centre back has been severely limited with opportunities to impress this season, having accumulated just three appearances since the start of the campaign. And it is through no fault of his own, with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate all denying him an easy path into the first team.
But now the Reds are willing to let him leave next month, according to the Liverpool ECHO, having set an asking price of between £10-15m. However, Liverpool would also sanction a loan deal if it comes with a mandatory purchase option at the end of the season.

Amrabat makes telling admission

Liverpool-linked midfielder Amrabat now has a ‘clear inclination’ towards a move to Anfield following Klopp’s recent meeting with his representatives.
The Fiorentina man has grabbed the attention of many top clubs across Europe following his displays for Morocco and the 2022 World Cup and the Reds are said to be firmly in the lead for his signature, despite other interest from elsewhere.
And Lions de L’Atlas in Morocco are reporting the Reds have a ‘head start’ on everyone else following Klopp’s meeting with Amrabat’s agent. The player himself is said to ‘appreciate’ what the German had to say about him, while Liverpool have ‘made it known’ that they will soon submit a bid to Fiorentina.

- Player [x] has performed well at the world cup, we need to link him with a club.
- What level is player [x]?
- About mid-level with potential.
- Is he a midfielder?
- Yes
- Well, Liverpool is rumoured to be looking for midfielders. Let's link him to them.

Next day:

Amrbat and Enzo fuckhead to Liverpool, done deal. Liverpool paying 99 million pounds that they're pulling out of their giant imaginary wallet.

Meanwhile in reality...

ARTHUR IS COMING BACK EARLIER!

A Croatian center back?

What can possibly go wrong?

We've been threatening to sell Phillips for about 3 years now. Poor guy gets shunted out on loan every year it seems. Just sell the fucker once and for all and pocket the fee.

Prepare to be mind blown when Rice, Enzo, Bellingham, Amrabat, Caiciedo line up on January 1 holding LFC shirts and then FSG follows it up with Mbappe and Kuddus on June 1.

Aha, try Ox, Keita and Melo looking like new signings.

Youssoufa Moukoko - Chelsea face competition from Manchester United and Liverpool for Borussia Dortmund's Moukoko, but interested clubs will have to convince the 18-year-old German that he will not be signed to sit on the bench.

I really hope Klopp can get him. If we are interested mind you.

With all these players we are linked with( A normal thing for us), But with a lot of talk about players coming, some being bought and loaned back, and big money arrivals in the summer you have to wonder; if true, where as the money suddenly come from...?

Has FSG realized that they need to put thier hands in thier pocket...?

Have they got a deal (in theory) in place for the partial sale of the club and intend to use some of that money to invest in new players...?

Or Have they got a deal (in Theory) in place for the full sale of he club and the new owners are the ones fronting up the cash...?

@Donavan Ried - I think it is all a load of bullshit. If we are lucky we get one MF - and the worse part of all this - is we cannot blame our lack of transfer activity over the summer or what may come in January all on FSG - Klopp and his fucking cuddling and trust in injury prone players is a large part of why we are fucked. He don't know how to sell players - or spot that they are fucking wasting his time. Part of me thinks he likes part-time cripples because it means if he lacks a fully fit squad he ain't got those tough choices to make that could lead to confrontations with player playing time. Its all fucking bollox - all of it. We cannot predict anything with our manager or owners when it comes to new buys:

  • Either they surprise us like they did when we got Fabinho after we lost the first CL final
  • OR they do fuck all when we actually need a damn player:
    • No signings after CL win
    • did not even bother to look seriously when our defense was crippled
    • Never replace a player like for like - always something awkward instead.
    • Desperate for a midfielder ? - yeah get a player on loan who has a history of recent injuries and ain't kicked a ball for like 7 months.
