Arsenal showing interest in Superliga 'sensation' Marcus Ingvartsen.
The 20-year-old striker has had a very decent Season for FC Nordsjælland, scoring 9 in 17 and has drawn interest from a host of Premiership and Bundesliga clubs. The last one to join the race is Arsenal according to The Mirror.
I wouldn't exactly deem him a sensation myself as it's been in the cards for a while that he'll be in the goals when played regularly. Emre Mor, now Dortmund, also from FCN, was a sensation however if we are to make proper use of that worn out ..noun?
I would honestly be a bit surprised to see Ingvartsen make that move at this stage, don't get me wrong he is talented but I'm not sure he'd be ready for a top flight club so soon.
One of my favorite Danish coaches, Kasper Hjulmand, manager of FCN, has been quoted saying that if you are a talent that wants to improve your game non-stop, and you are not doing exactly what Marcus is, then you are not doing it right.
According to him this young lads mentality and will-power is second to none, whenever he faces a difficult time he always comes out of it stronger, never let his head down etc. All kinda important traits in today's game where it sometimes seems that a lot of players find it very difficult to cope when the going gets tough.
Ingvartsen will lead the forward line for Denmark alongside Kasper Dolberg come the U21 European Championships next Summer.
His goals in the Superliga so far (not spectacular, but effective)
