Danny Murphy away to Utd when Owen got sent off is probably the best performance for a youngster I've ever seen for us.

Agree with Sunny about Michael Owen in Fa Cup in 2001.

Alonso Vs Spurs was ridiculous and was a passing masterclass.
 
Terry was voted European defender of the year the year we won the CL.

Carragher should have gotten it. Yeah he had a tough first half against Milan in the final but he turned it around for the remainder of the game was excellent in the previous rounds.

Hansen Vs Everton in the mid 80's - we won 5-1 with Rush scoring 4.... I still recall the way he stepped forward and picked out Rush with some precise passing.

There's also a good call for pretty much everyone who played in the 5-0 win against Forrest in the late 80's... described at the time as the best team performance ever.

Also recall Steve Nicol scoring a hattrick against Newcastle once.

I'm sure there are a few Steve McMahon performances that could go in there as well.
 
Yep. Great win and great performance by Hansen.
However, Rushie got 4 and for me that was one of the best performances by a Liverpool player.
Two corrections - it was 0-5 and it was 1982.


And BTW, I think it would be great if every recommendation could be accompanied by a youtube (where possible). Makes it much more fun.
