Theyre fucking boring. They have GREAT midfielders and a wonder keeper. Their defenders and forwards are meh. They win games because their midfield can keep the ball for fun and they nick a goal here and there (2010 results 0-1, 2-0, 2-1, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0).
Does that make them the best TEAM ever? Not for me. So fucking sue me.

Yes fair play, they can keep the ball for fun and by doing so make the opposition chase shadows, become knackered and then get a goal, game over.
Bottom line is, they're shit to watch. They don't play attacking, quick and aggressive football that you associate with the best teams whether it's a club or internationa team.
Barca are different, they have the legend that is Messi in their ranks who provides the magical moments, and not underestimating Alves' influence either, he stretches the play and gets forward with speed at every opportunity.
In conclusion, fuck Spain.

But its subjective. The great Brazil sides of the 70's, the Cryuff Dutch team, Brazil 2002, Germany 90. All great teams, there are others.
I think part of this is a backlash from the Barca games against Chelsea and Real Madrid. They lacked cutting edge (even though they created more than enough chances to win both games) and therefore were frustrating and at times boring to watch. I suppose Barca and Spain are jizzed upon to such an extent that it seems that people are just waiting for them to fail and have a rant. That is what seems to be happening now.

Some of the attacking moves in the final third show such technique, precision, skill and inventiveness that you're willing them to score, not necessarily because you want them to win, but because such play deserves to end with a goal. Barcelona are never boring. They have an incisiveness and cutting edge that spain lack. Thats why Spain often have the same possession as Barcelona but win 1-0 whereas Barca win 6-0.
I dont think there is any correllation between them other than the midfield being similar. Messi is the best player of all time in some peoples eyes and if you dropped him and Alves into this spain team they would instantly seem more interesting.
I dont recall ever being bored watching Barcelona play the way Spain bore me.
