Times on Friday:
[article]City are aware of Isco’s frustration and while the club insist that there has been no contact with the player — as has been reported in Spain — it is understood that they will look at the his position in the close season and determine whether it is worth submitting a bid for him.

City may have to break their own transfer record of £57 million, paid to Athletic Bilbao for Aymeric Laporte, to sign Isco. Madrid would consider accepting a bid of about £65 million[/article]

This is after his 'outburst' after scoring 3 against Argentina in Spain's 6-1 win:
[article]I want to show that I’m a good player. Lopetegui shows me confidence with the minutes he gives me.

In Madrid, I don’t have the confidence a player needs.

Maybe I’m the problem in Madrid. I don’t know how to win Zidane’s confidence.[/article]

If the fee is really 'only' 65 million, we should be all over that ... proven at the highest level, and only 25 ... Would be a phenomenal signing.

While it is an interesting proposal I am a bit baffled about this "only" 65 Mill pricetag. How many clubs has bought players for 65 Mill? A player in that pricerange should dominate for club and country....

He's brilliant, and can play anywhere across the front 4

Ideally we'd be all over it

65 would be a pisstake for Isco. He's as talented as Coutinho or De Bruyne, so I can't see Madrid accepting less than 100 million. His release clause is an absurd 700 million euros.

But if there's any chance, we should do what it takes. He's a magnificent player.

I can't see City, Chelsea & Utd not getting involved.

He's the exact type of player Mourinho buys to keep them he fans happy & they have the cash to burn compared to us.

Also, perhaps I'm being a bit naive, but is there a chance Isco may be more attracted to joining us than City?

Isco's problem at Real seems to be winning the coach's confidence and starting on a regular basis. At City, won't he have the same problem? They have De Bruyne, Silva, the other Silva, and Gundogan vying for the AM/CM roles, and a bazillion others in attack.

With us he knows, he'd walk into our first team.

Wages may be an issue. But I've just checked. He's earning 115k a week at Real. I'm assuming we could easily offer him 180k, which would be competitive with what City would offer.

A midfield say of Ndidi, Keita and Isco would be amazing.

Keeps the fans happy for a bit, and then makes him track back and protect pogba.

I don't think is on, having played under shitcoat, would want to go back unless several guarantees were made

Strange timing, I thought he’d finally settled into the Real team. Guess not.

I can’t imagine Real would sell and if they did we probably wouldn’t stand a chance.

But if he is available we should at least try. He’s brilliant.

Quality player. Unfortunately we don't make these type of signings. He Will probably end up at city / Chelsea

Real will surely sell quite a few of their current first teamers, so its a possibilty that he’ll stay and be part of the new look Real team.

I’d love to sign him though. Fantastic player.

Sign Sterling back and keep Sturridge just so we can do *the* tune...

Also, he's fucking ace. If I was a kid he'd be on me shirt if we signed him

Pep doesn't deploy that style at all.

He keeps his wingers on their side of the pitch at all times
Don't think Isco will play along the wing if he goes to Man City. Pep will maximize his movement & fluidity and game intelligence.

(not the best of example but the fluidity part and 7 out 3 in part are similar)

City were supposedly after him the other summer as well so there may longstanding interest there.

David Silva is 32 so perhaps he'd be sold on being his successor.

I see a lot of folk raving about this lad but sadly I left Spain before he really kicked in and I only watch La Liga if Levante are playing....

If he is as nifty as most people reckon then.... sign the fucker...
