I don't know if FSG were at fault for last nights transfer fiasco. I actually think BR is playing us and did not really want another forward in the end, he had his sights on Daniel Strurridge and when that did not come through, he wanted to back out of the Dempsey deal and therefore the club made that insulting offer to Fullham. I refuse to belive that this club would not pay an additional 1M to get the man they wanted - it just can't be true.

If he really wanted him - he would have got him for that extra £1M - which in this day and age is nothing in football. I don't think he lied - I think Dempsey was used as a distraction throughout the summer by LFC and the real work was done in getting the other players, and trying to get Daniel Sturridge which would have been possible if Chelsea sorted out their shit. Incidentally - head a few Chelsea fans on the radio who actually feel the same way about their striker situation - if Torres gets injured they don't fancy Sturridge taking over and doing well.
