Is Hummels the most overrated defender in the game?

we both know he is not absolute garbage. he's a german international playing for one of the most successful teams in europe this season. he's very good, admittedly he wasn't outstanding in the final, but to write him off as worse than bramble and co after one game, is a bit too much.

Wasn't outstanding is being generous. He was badly at fault a few times and cost his team the game.

There's an argument for having defenders like Hummels, because defenders touch the ball more often than anyone else on the field. But I don't think you can afford to sacrifice the basics of the position for good on the ball ability.

I don't know about Hummels, but I quite like Hummus.

well ... you have to soak the dry chickpeas over night, and then boil them for 2 hours before mashing them with garlic, olie oil, salt pepper, lemon etc ...

It's fun to add different foods into it - i've tried with avocado, chocolate etc

He just seems a bit clumsy to me. Good on the ball and going forward, but basic defending he's quite poor from what I've seen. Hasn't impressed me this season.
