Just wondering is anyone going, watching or does anyone care? Got a ticket for Croke Park myself and looking forward to the game, but I hate the way they interfere with club games.

We have Lucas, Insua and Mascher in South America and Babel and Kuyt in New Zealand. None of the five are expected back before lunchtime on Friday next

You may be right. Its just one game they are playing I think. And its in Australia not New Zealand. Either way its not great preparation for the Sunderland match.

Agreed. And it's a friendly, for god's sake, why on earth are they bothering at this stage?

I'm going to Croker myself for a look. I don't mind the break for the competitive games, but the breaks for friendlies is a joke. There's always one in February, and it really pisses me off.

Hopefully Gerrard and Torres won't be involved in both their countries games, after all, their respective nations have already qualified.

I suspect Capello is going to play his first choice team throughout to keep the momentum going. It makes sense but as a club fan it will niggle.

It looks like Agger is set to play a full 90 minutes for Denmark in their crucial encounter against Sweden.

He's looks in superb physical condition. He's been working hard during his latest absence and now he just needs to build up his match-fitness (and stay well clear of more injuries).

I watched him (on TV) in the ressies game and my god he was stylish. You half forget what a classy player he is. It's just another level of quality completely. If he keeps his fitness this time he'll be so good in the team.

The Agger bandwagon is off again. I too am a big fan of Agger, not at KHL's stalking level though mind.

He recently said he thought about quitting the sport when he couldn't even bend down to pick up his child.

I know he's never been 'into' football, but it was a bit of a surprise.

I'm more than excited to see Agger back. Skrtel and Carra are to similar, and Carra's distrust of Skrtel is awful to watch.

It was indeed. He referred to the past Months before the op as his 'Summer of pain' or something similar.

He said on TV last night that he would miss the big nights at Anfield (and Parken when playing for Denmark) too much and that convinced him that he was prepared to do whatever it would take to come back. Maybe that's why he seems a bit more physical adjust and determined this time around compared to when he last came back from injuries.

He also said he'll "look after" himself much better than in the past when he's done some "stupid things".

haha ...

I'm looking forward to seeing us play tomorrow night, we do pull off a major surprise every few years and I think we're due one.

I heard a great comment today about England's game being shown only on the internet : "If I have to pay £9.99 to watch 11 sweaty Eastern Europeans in action for 90 mins on the internet, it definitely won't be the England game I'll be watching"

one of the best players for the italians, Mattia Mustacchio. 20 year old attacking midfielder.

He was incredible for them and definitely one to watch in the future.
