Interesting Young Players

The 1 similarity he has with Haaland that I know is both played for Molde. 😛 But at the quoted fee, Chelsea will have nothing to lose.

Yeah, he is a real talent that lad. I was expecting a move to Belgium or Holland but Chelsea will have nothing to lose with getting him for 10 mill. He'll go on loan somewhere for the next few years and most likely be sold again for a profit. Not sure if he can make it in the Premier league but he has a chance with the right development.

He was the stand out talent in our league. Just much better than anyone else.

Evan Ferguson - goal and assist today against Everton. Never heard of him before his goal against Arsenal

He's an Irish striker who's been on the fringes for about 12 months - I've been keeping an eye!

I just read this article about him turning us down as a youngster. Sounds like a sensible lad. Destined to flourish under De Zerbi.

[article]Liverpool were amongst the many clubs who courted the Ireland underage star but Ferguson followed Robbie Keane's lead in opting to sign for a club where he felt that there would be a greater opportunity to progress.

"It came down to the fact that if you come to Brighton there's a pathway through," he explained.

"If you go to a team such as a Liverpool, then they can buy a striker for €60 million to €70 million.

"At Brighton, they like to bring their academy players through and give them a chance. I'd say that was the reason, looking long term rather than short term.

"There were a few Irish lads here before I moved over – there was Jayson Molumby, Warren O’Hora and a few of the younger boys like Andrew Moran, Leigh Kavanagh and James Furlong.

"I knew them from back home. So you see a pathway, I was thinking that there’s obviously something good happening at Brighton and that was what led me here."[/article]

Just a quick drop of names from my side of the pond;

Rasmus Højlund, 19, striker for Atalanta. Strong, powerful, clinical beast in the same mould as Haaland. Coaches in Austria have already mentioned this very obvious comparison (Højlund were at Sturm Graz before Atalanta). Long way to go but already in the Danish Int team as Jonas Wind and Yussuf Poulsen are out injured/coming back.

Gonna be one of the players Atalanta sell for big bucks.

With the rise of "new" names like Mykhaylo Mudryk and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, I though it's interesting to keep an eye on upcoming talents.

One that caught my eye today is Dango Ouattara (plays on the left wing). Got a goal and assist for Lorient at home vs. Lyon. Did a quick check and realised this is the 3rd game in a row he has assisted/scored in.

That's 2 goals and 3 assists in 6 league starts. He had 25 league appearances last season but only started 7 games (1 goal 2 assists).

Below was an assist during the AFCON earlier this year.

Going to Bournemouth it seems

Cost Chelsea £18m.

Marlon Gomes - another talent from Vasco (the club Chelsea signed Andrey Santos from)
