Sony Turns PSP Into Instant Replay Device At UK Stadium

The PlayStation Portable will get a brilliant new feature for visitors to London's Emirates Stadium, as the Arsenal Football Club will offer sports fans instant replays of action streamed wirelessly to their PSPs over the stadium's WiFi network.

Sony and Arsenal have partnered to offer streaming video of upcoming Barclays Premier League games via a new PSP application dubbed Arsenal TV Matchday. The application—a one time £10 download—will offer fans "action replays from selected camera angles, plus slow-motion options, live match statistics, team sheets and Arsenal player profiles and pre-match video content and Arsenal.com editorial news."

"Sony is constantly looking at ways in which technology can benefit both the fan and the Club," said Mark Grinyer, Head of Sports Business at Sony Professional. "Our work with Arsenal is truly a world first and we believe that it will set the standard for live event experiences."

The company has expressed interest in installing a similar system at other sport venues.

While not essential, it is a nice feature. Would you like something similar implemented in Anfield?

Just imagine this at old toilet last week.

Bellamy would have got serious damage from a PSP.
