He was amazing. Some of those make Johnson's look like a bobbled tap-in.

True.

But then again, how good was Rushie's finishing?

I actually thought digger's finishing was pretty special.

amazing clip, incredible player:
touch,
dribbling
finishing
passing
free kicks
pace
vision
strength
crossing

unbelievable.

I've seen that video like 20 times before. He's my favourite player and has always IMO been the best player to have ever played for Liverpool.

And when you consider that he had a player like Beardsley, someone who was also extremely gifted at torturing defenses beside him, you realise just how blessed we were at that time. Defensive units must have been issued with a dose of Imodium before the Liverpool fixture.

I will always feel privileged to have been a Kop season ticket owning teenager at the time Kenny built that magnificent team in the late eighties.

Barnes was absolutely astonishing and anything seemed possible with him on the field. Opposing supporters whilst seeing their team completely humiliated would often give him a standing ovation as he approached to take a corner. They probably realised that they were witnessing greatness the like of which they may not see again in their lifetimes.
