If Man United is so poor as many pundits and some of us are saying, is it likely they will win the PL again?

If our squad is so lack of depth as claimed by many pundits and most of us here, there is no way we can win the PL this year.

Therefore, the most like champion this year is Chelsea?

Will this make us happy as long as Man U does not overtake us by claiming number 19?

Answer in a poll by a simple yes or no, unless you want to stick your head out and write about your opinion.
(now where is that Poll thingy)

I think we made them look shit and I'm pissed off with the amount of people playing down our win as being 'due to how shit United are', they're still a class act and we played them off the park.

Best case we win it.

Worst case the Scum do.

Anything in between is better than Utd obviously.

They have never ever had more league titles than us.

They've tied three times but never had more.

Is correct, we played better and deservedly won. I am still up for PL title.

its funny that chelsea were lauded after their 2-0 win when there was nothing in the game but two defensive laspes but manu are deemed poor (rather than us being good) when played off the park.

Chelsea's chance will depend on how they fair in January IMO. The transfer ban is bound to peg them back, and with the African players (Essien especially) playing for their country, they just HAVE to slip.

They won't slip up in January ..... they play 4 teams in the bottom half of the league.

The last time the Africa Cup we saw all their Africans not playing for Chelsea and it did not do them any harm.

What a stupid question.

You don't need a bloody poll to tell you that anything else not a scum win is a consolation at its very best.

I don't give a toss if Man United overtake our league record. I love and admire the history we have, but it means little to me because I wasn't around for any of it.

I've never seen us lift a League title before so it's just the same old shit, really.

It is a moot question so it can be stupid. I am trying to reflect on what everyone is trying to say here.

To be happy when our rivals win nothing would make us Everton.

So true Dopey, so your answer is no?

So your answer is a definite no?

If the last 15 years have taught us anything it is that Man U should always be considered favourites.

I never make the mistake of thinking they are not good enough now. They have won the league with poorer teams than this one.

I expect them to sign a big player in January also.

Chelsea look the best bet to stop them, but I have not written us of just yet.

I think if they don't win it this year or next that it will be more difficult in the future for them, unless Ferguson buys really well in the next four windows. This year has thrown up a fair few surprise results already and I personally think this trend will continue. The rise of City seems assured, whether it be this year or next, and it looks like Villa and Spurs are on the up (not saying they are top four material yet). These teams will take points off people, including UTD.

As for being happy, if we don't win it, as long as the mancs don't win the prem? No, I will not be happy, it still means some other bastards will have won it.

I honestly believe we have a better chance of winning the league than United.

All the big 4 are fallible and a certain amount of luck will be required regarding injuries but if we steer clear of major injury setback then we will finish ahead of United.

We could finish ahead of Chelsea, their squad is quite old and will be tested fully if they are competing for 3 trophies in March/April - also their lack of width could see them drop crucial points particularly away from home.

Arsenal could challenge of they stay clear if injury (particularly at the back) but they seem to lack a ruthless element which saw them give up a 2 goal lead when they were looking comfortable against the Hammers.

City worry me because if they are within 6 or 7 points of top by January they will sign the likes of Puyol, Aguero and Ribery and push-on from there.

My gut feeling is that LFC will win the league and I said this before I predicted (correctly unforunately) that we'd lose to Sunderland.

I don't think we're gonna win the league, so the next best thing is hoping they don't win it.

I havent given up yet,but agree with all the rest

Fallon, Rage and Pesam means no?

Lady Anita is a maybe or yes?

[/quote]

Indeed, I voted no.

Right now I wouldn't be happy with anyone other than liverpool winning the title this season and I have far from given up hope on that.
However if we were out of the race and someone/anyone denied Man U No 19 at the end of the season I would be deleriously happy at that moment.

I count the count as a maybe it depends

We are certainly not out of it but need to put together a substantial winning streak to give ourselves a real chance. The chavs look the business but there's still a ways to go. If Gerrard and Torres can stay fit, there's every chance we can go all the way. There'll be a few more surprises along the way and we need to win when our rivals drop points.
