What is the point of this post, Neil ?

Why don't you just make your case for Torres fucking off ?
That usually happens on about page 56 of spidey's threads.

lets post until we get there then!

*ponders how to shoe-horn Tevez into the chat*

"Hey themn, don't you think tevez is good"
Yes, Fabio, he'd be a worthy addition to our team.

I wonder if Citeh would swap him AND £50M for Torres ?

*looks straight into camera*

I would like to think that i that offer was on the table we'd have to take it

*smiles and points at tevez*

I'd concentrate on sorting my fitness out before selling myself like a whore.

Win the title for Liverpool, get some medals and then fuck off to graze in Spain.

His success with us has propelled himself into a different strata, and has given him shitloads of money.

Either he or his PR have given off a constant stream of exactly what Liverpool fans want to hear for year after year now.

If he fucked off next year, after an injury rid couple of seasons, and all his talk was shown to be utter bullshit, I can't imagine any liverpool fan simply shrugging their shoulders and thinking "I can understand his decision".

That's the sort of objectiv-er than thou bullshit which is very trendy on messageboards, but is actually utterly foreign and bizarre.

If we don't get investment and spend top money on at least four players, he will leave, and I wouldn't really blame him

He deserves better than this

he left AM to challenge for silverware (ironically AM are in the final of europa) we aren't challenging, why should he stick around? if wont surprise me in least if he isn't here next season.

No.

It's a short career. For him it may be shorter at the top than other players, given his injury record. So he's got to 'go for it' wherever he can.

I'd feel a little bit sick seeing Nando do his lil smirk after scoring a sublime goal in any club kit other than ours now.

The transfer window goes on until the first few games. So he can afford to wait the whole summer to see who comes in / goes out. Then even see whether we start the season playing well and winning games. If it didn't happen I'd go to barcelona

Stick or twist yesno

his attitude has been shite all season..

in his first season he was getting stuck in and hardly sulked.. This year its all he has done at times.

Even if he wouldnt mind leaving to another club. Im not sure how many could afford him and he would be willing to join.

Man City, Madrid and Man Utd would probably be out of the question. Barcelona have a lot of young strikers, i doubt they need Torres. Arsenal probably dont have the money... Chelsea are a possibility but im unsure how keen he is to stay in the premier league after his recent comments about the physical nature and his doubts regarding a long term future in the league.
AC Milan/Juve?? not sure if they have the cash.. AC Milan may have the money and similar to Chelsea could probably do with another top striker under the age of 30..
Inter..

Cant think of anyone else that could afford him and that he would want to join.. Due to his price he has limited choices (unless he is willing to join 'lesser' teams)

Milan have no money.

The only possible destinations outside of the England are Barca - who look likely to bring in a new striker in the summer given that Bojan is now started ahead of Ibra.

Inter may have money, but they don't need strikers. Juve perhaps if they really are planning on spending loads, but they're not really too appealing at the moment, surely.

I'd stay another season, but if it's more of the same I'd look to leave and I really wouldn't blame him. To be honest, I think he's considering his future now. He could easily come out and quash the rumours but he hasn't.

Like Keni says though, who could afford him? Chelsea, Man City, Madrid and Barca. I don't think he'd ever join Madrid, and you'd hope he wouldn't join another English club. That leaves Barcelona who may move for Villa instead this summer for big money.

If he goes to Man City I'll stop watching football. It'd just be all so fucking pointless.

Inter may be a possibility if Mourinho goes and the new guy wants to change things around. Balotelli could well leave anyway. They may be more of a possibility than Juve, who will have money, but not much/any left if they pay what we'd want for Nando.

If I were Torres I'd leave if as the summer progresses, there is no sign whatsoever of Liverpool climbing out of this hole.

Can he not just be happy winning things with Spain?....
I couldn't blame him if he wanted to go. Players that good should be winning titles. I'm just hoping he hangs around for one more season.

To be honest if I was playing for Liverpool now, Benitez alone would make me think about leaving.

Never mind next season he owes us last season!

I'd hope he stays forever tbh he is a fucking magic player and i really hope he will, but having cunts at the top can only be suffered for so long and if we dont get the investment then he will provide with his departure.

If I recall correctly Ferguson didnt want him because he felt he would not score enough goals

Yes... He has to know/think that if he had not been injured we'd have done better, right?

Yes. I'd be considering how I'd been plucked from obscurity, been bought by a world famous club, paid handsomely, received the adulation of millions around the world and decide that I ought to stay the full length of my contract to pursue the dreams I had when I joined.

And then I'd admonish myself for contemplating cutting and running at the first sign of trouble.

Captain of Athletico Madrid and Spanish first XI regular is hardly "obscurity" in fairness.
