Yeah we were 1 point behind Chelsea since January 1st and they lost yesterday so we would be top by two points.

we've averaged 2 points a game since he arrived
[/quote] one extra I think

ie. thirty three points from sixteen games

How old is this redhorizon whopper ?

Fucking hell.

Ooh, quick, someone build a time machine, so we can go back and change everything !

I my uncle had a fanny, he'd be my aunty etc..!

We could if City draw 2 and lose 1 yes! 🙂 Likelihood rating... low to medium. Need Spurs to do us a massive favour tomorrow.

I reckon that the fairest way to judge Kenny's impact is to not consider his first few games when he hadn't had any chance at all to work with the players properly. If you looked at THAT table, we'd be first.

Therefore we're currently the best team in England.

A lot of us, were saying and not understanding why FSG were moving so slow back in Dec. That particularly slow decision to rid of Roy, cost them about 12M in Guaranteed CL Money! Had Kenny been given the job in Dec, a few weeks earlier, we'd be back. Can't help but keep saying this!

I don't think we'd be top.

We've had an easier second half in terms of opposition than first half, and I think the swap of Babel and Torres for Carroll and Suarez significantly improved the squad too.

It's also the fact we've been playing relatively without pressure.

With the pressure on, if we were going for a title, unfortunately, I don't think players like Maxi or indeed Flannigan etc would be playing as well as they have.

If you still want some stats then:

6th Jan 2011

5 Chelsea 21 17 35
12 Liverpool 20 -3 25

Today, 18 points behind

I think they're enjoying the style of play and we're reaping the rewards.

I think Ibro has touched on an important point here. We were like this a few times under Rafa, out of he league by Feb and then destroy teams when the pressure is off. We need to maintain this form throughout the season. Sure, it's great blooding young guys and seeing the team perform but we still have a lot of work to do before we can be realistic title challengers.

If he doesn't get a new contract I'm going to grab a pitchfork and invade America.
