Sinclair started the season on a ridiculously hot streak, banging goals and multiple goals in games. He hasn't quite maintained that level all season, but he is still a remarkably talented player, and, of course, it is easy to forget he is still 16. Becoming the youngest ever player to get minutes for the first team capped what has been something of an aura of destiny surrounding him since he arrived for biggish money from West Brom aged 14. He was always rated by the academy as the nailed on cert to follow Sterling into the first team, so impressive has he been.
He has been somewhat eclipsed in the latter part of this season by the extraordinary emergence of Ibe as the fulcrum of much of the positive play in the U18s. Ibe is powerful, quick, with an unusual upright Michael Johnson running style. He loves to cut in from the left wing and lash efforts with his hammer of a right foot, though he also has a deft touch around the box too, and can pick a slide-rule pass when he wants. Another top, top prospect.
Jack Dunne has been playing on the right, but could play in a range of positions; anywhere behind the striker, and even filling in up front if needed, and he has even played as a deep midfielder too. He is skillful, quick, with terrific awareness, and a wicked left foot that he enjoys putting to use. Has a great eye for goal. He's a right scampish scouser who could be as beloved as Fowler if he makes it. Has had a number of nasty injuries that have set him back, but fingers crossed he gets a run. he definitely has the attitude of a winner. Love this lad.
