Playing football as well. I'm a centreback and went up for our team's corner. As I went for the header, the opposition keeper came out to punch the ball and missed. Instead he punched me in the back of my head, just behind my right ear.

After that I remember sort of fragments. Going up for the header, then I'm on the ground, I try to stand up but my legs give way underneath me and then I think I got helped to the side of the pitch. I got some water on my face and after a few minutes was able to get on my feet again and walk around to the bench. I felt like I was in a cartoon, seeing stars.

I went to the hospital after and they gave me a quick check over and made me wait in the observation room for about an hour as I had quite severe concussion. After that hour, I got home and was really tired but had to stay awake for awhile at least.

Next day I went to work. I'm a high school teacher and in hindsight, I probably should've stayed home. By the end of the day, I was really tired, had occasional bouts of dizziness and began to get a headache.

Didn't go to work today and some times I'll feel fine and then all of a sudden, I'll feel very light headed. I went to the doctors and he's set up a CT brain scan for me for tomorrow.

Another weird occurance was when I had sex with my girlfriend today. As I came, I severe pain came over me, in the exact spot were I got hit. Like a splitting headache. Don't know what that's about. I think I'm more concerned about that than anything else. Ha.

Anyway, just wanted to get more story out. I'm not that worried, but I know some family and friends are, even if they try to hide it. Hopefully the scan tomorrow will clear up any concerns. Wish me luck.
