Eggnog's shit. He always has been. He always will be.
He's not that bad, he certainly wasn't one of the most culpable today, those with greater talent (and price tags) fucked up when we could have capitalised.

Babel shits on both of them.
Oncy, you can do better than that. He's the most talent wasting idiot ever.

Based on watching N' Gog and Jovanovic.
how mcuh have you seen of jove in a red shirt and what's he done to warrent his inclusion? at least you can point to n'gog's 7 goals.
Yes his 1 in 5 scoring record is quite prolific.
Do you think this is prolific for a career record then:

1999–2003 Vojvodina 43 (10)
2003–2004 Shakhtar Donetsk 6 (1)
2004–2006 Lokomotiv Moscow 3 (0)
2006–2010 Standard Liège 116 (52)

There's no doubt we could do better than N'Gog but seriously how anyone can suggest Jovanovic is well beyond me. From what I've seen he's not got the ability to make it at Liverpool. N'Gog at least has scored a few goals and showed glimpses of skill now and then.
63 goals in 168 games is about 0.4 goals a game. I'm not sure what point you tried to make, but you certainly didn't prove N'gog was better than Jovanovic with that little statistic post of yours.....

He certainly should at least be given a few appearances as forward off the bench to at least see what he can do. If we go down the route of judging players on a couple of performances where they played out of position, we are never going to have much success in the transfer market.
You'd be a downright awful scout.

Looks here's a bloke with a 0.4 goals per game ratio he must be awe-wait for it-some. I don't care if he only managed 9 games in three years in an ok Russian League look what he managed at some unknown Serbian club and in BELGIUM with the, at the time, by a mile best club in the mighty Jupiler League in St. Liege alongside Felliani, Defour and a few more potential big names.

This transfer looked abysmal from the off.

You know what I'd bet a dollar that you are so wrong assessing players and potential now and then that you would've laughed straight at my face had I dared to suggest say Bendtner ahead of Jovanovic?

Disclaimer: This is not only my opinion of course but anyone else here at 6CM. Of course.

Getting Jovanovic wasn't a great idea, but comparing it to Bendtner is a bit crazy.

Bendtner is overrated; but enough people over-rate him enough to suggest he'd be worth upwards of 20 million.

Jovanovic was a free transfer; and I doubt his wages would be anything like what Bendtner would demand.

He's a striker, not a midfielder; and at least Kuyt got the opportunity to show he wasnt a very good striker in the Premiership before being shunted off (where he's done far better than expected).

Jovanovic probably won't do a lot for us; but at least he should get a chnae to prove he's worse than N'gog.

i still want to see jova given a chance to prove he's shit up front rather than being suspected of it

Yep, this.

Ignoring KHL's bizarre and childish post above, this is exactly what i'm saying.

Having bought him, we should at least try him in his position. We have only played him out of position a couple of times when the entire team was playing horrible football and was stuck in the relegation zone. It's hardly the right way to judge a player. But genius scouts like KHL have already seen enough to say that he sucks.

He may indeed be poor, but i'd like to see him given a chance first.

Has he played up front at all yet?
