You say I'm lying? Please explain. Or do the decent thing.
No, I'm saying every time you don't agree with something someone says in the media you never engage with what they say, merely tell some anecdote as to why they shouldn't be listened to.

What utter nonsense. You might recall the instances when you don't agree with me, but that's another matter. Or maybe you don't read carefully enough, because the explanation was there.

So what, pray, was the point of paraphrasing that knob Curbishley's parting shot that he 'was a shallow young man' bedazzled by nightlife, when nothing could be further from the truth?

Or was it a cheap tactic to undermine Murphy's opinion?

You sound rather like the tabloid hacks you purport to despise

I explained above. Anyway, did, as you claimed, I make up Curbishley's reaction, or was that actually his reaction? If I did not make up that reaction (feel free to google, folks), then I did not 'make that shit up'. So then - I'm trying to be helpful here - there's an easy way to fix this: the thing to do is to say, 'Sorry, I was wrong in claiming that you made that shit up - I simply didn't agree with what Curbishley said'.

P.S. 'Headwand'. That's not aimed at you. That's just to get me immunity from Rosco.

You're repeating (paraphrasing) some snide, made-up shit that Curbs spouted off when Murphy left Charlton for Spurs, which, as I have pointed out, bears no resemblance to Murphy at all, and has not actualy been borne out since; to wit, any supporting evidence that he is indeed in any was interested in 'the bright light' and/ or nightclubs

So you didn't make the shit up, you simply propagate made-up shit

Hurray for you

What's up between you two?

Anyway, the interesting bit of the interview was this: "I keep in touch with a lot of people close to the club and many think the time has come for a new manager."

He's talking about Gerrard and Carra, isn't he?
Yes. They're a lot of people.
They're fairly important people.

I don't think anyone would be surprised to find out that people connected with the club, including playing staff, are having a major crisis of confidence with Benitez. So in that respect, Murphy doesn't enlighten us in any way.

I have no feelings about Murphy one way or the other. Given that everyone gets all indignant about long since retired ex-players having a pop or dragging the club through the mud for a pay day (something that doesn't usually bother me that much) however, I have to say I'm a little surprised that no-one views this as worse. It doesn't matter what his opinion is or whether he makes valid points - he should keep them to himself and worry about his own club.

Can you imagine someone like Sami, Crouch or even Keane coming out with this?

Exactly.

Not for much longer if they carry on playing the way they have so far this season.

If the captain and vice-captain both want the manager to be replaced, I'd say that's fairly 'enlightening' - although we don't know for sure that's true, of course.

As for Murphy... yes, he shouldn't have said it. It's small-minded, bitter and classless. But, frankly, with us playing like a relegation team and the club going into financial meltdown, it's not top of my 'hate' list right at this moment.

Well, that much is certainly true. I just thought it'd be a distraction to focus the hate on someone else. It's clearly not worked!

To be fair. Murphy has a weekly column on yahoo (i believe). It's not like he's come out with this out of nowhere. Last season his columns on Yahoo were filled with positive things about us. This season, there hasn't been so much.. and with good reason.

He's a Liverpool fan, he's got friends who are LFC fans, he's mates with Carra and Gerrard.
Why shouldnt he say anything?
Rafa has been trying to fool the fans and Yanks for years. Its enough.
He's a model pro...
Be carefull Brendan, GK will leave the site because of you... :🙂

I'm sure Danny hates Benitez for personal reasons but really everything he says is true.

To be honest, I'd rather have Danny at the club than Benitez. By a million miles.

Theres lots of brainless things Rafa's done, but Crouchleaving isnt one of them.

He didnt want to be 2nd banana.
Is true - Crouch leaving wasn't one of them. The lad wanted first team games and wasn't staying without them; that we got 11m for him was good business.

Bellamy, on the other hand, is a completely different story!!!
Perhaps with hindsight, which itself will inevitably be coloured by Rafa's distinctly iffy record in the market since. At the time it seemed a reasonable decision. Bellamy hadn't pulled up any trees for us and we made a profit on the deal.

To be honest I've always thought that was a bit of a myth, JJ. Bellamy was never the greatest converter of chances in that he wasn't as clinical as Owen, Fowler or Torres - not by some distance. But he was also one of the few players who carried any threat or caused the opposition defence any sleeping problems while he was here.

As I've said before, Bellamy would have scored bag full's for us last season given the way we were playing. Unfortunately for him he was at the club while we persisted with the approach of sitting in our own half, tapping the ball around. Bellamy always has and always will need the team to play a high tempo game to get the best out of him. Last season we did it and the goals came; this season we're not doing it anywhere near as much................ but I'd still prefer Bellers up front to Ngog.

Why is everyone conveniently forgetting that Bellamy fucked up his own Liverpool career by attacking a team mate with a golf club? Rafa didn't ship him out because he was playing badly, he sold him because he was a dangerous loon.

Yeah, he's a tad unhinged. I wasn't really sure why Rafa signed him in the first place. A most un-Rafa-like signing.
