Yeh he's got no excuse on that front. It's been obvious for ages now that teams are gonna park the bus. And literally nothing has changed. Can't win the league by just doing well against the big boys.
We'd have had more chance of winning this by playing Benteke and jus banging in cross after cross.
As long as Klopp struggles to work a way around this, the season is definitely over. The system is just so so easy to beat. Totally found out.

I'd be suspecting some sort of German bias towards Can.
It's obvious than on current form that Gini should be ahead of him but Klopp looks like he's starting to lose the plot.

Wow, this is bad. The same players who have been tearing the league apart now playing with no energy or imagination. Little by little, through individual mistakes piling up or tactical issues not being addressed, the confidence and momentum have evaporated from the team and now every player looks like a shadow of his former self.

We have lots of problems and at the moment top 4 looks unlikely. The good news is that every other team in the top 6 have had a dip in form this season and was able to come out of it. Now is our turn and hopefully Klopp and our players figure it out quickly.

Someone posted earlier blaming it on the deadwood in the team. He chose not to buy a striker, he bought a centre back who's ok and only really a short term solution, the brilliant Mane, Matip has looked good but hasn't really helped cure our defensive woes, and Karius has been a relative disaster. Origi and Sturridge have been largely thrown into games for anything between 5-20 minutes, usually to try to salvage something that our wasteful attacking midfielders and false 9's haven't been able to do - that's on him. His system worked temporarily but showed it could be easily disrupted and ultimately, easily out manoeuvred.

He HAS to change the system and show he's got more in his locker than just gen-gen pressing and playing with three attacking midfielders up top. It's not working and his stubbornness is proving to be his undoing, like all of his predecessors over the last two decades.

Why are you focussing so much on Lucas when the rest of the team was just as shite? He's just one of many problems we have at the moment and he's only a squad player anyway, most of the others who were rubbish today are first team players.

Yeh good point. I rate Klopp and wouldn't swap him for anyone, but if he can't adapt to such an easy ploy from opposing teams then it's a massive worry. It's still a worry that we don't have a decent defence. Or keeper. So things are far from perfect at the moment, but I think he's too smart and good a manager not to sort it.
I'll judge him next season. He's made a big deal over how summer is the best time to do business and would have had a few windows to wheel and deal, including two summers.
Considering how he made it clear how important a defence is in any decent team, the least I'll expect is a fully functioning top keeper and a solid back line. Can't remember the last time I've not had to worry about gifting a goal in any game we play.
