And regards going direct from deep, I think we do at times on the counter, we play a long ball sometimes into space for the attacker to run onto, which again would be fruitless. If we can pass it around, support him and feed him short passes into danger areas then it will work, the problem is that we've struggled to do that lately and that can leave him isolated and looking hapless.

What I mean is they are both essentially target men type forwards.

Having a pacey forward to feed off Lambert.. I thought could work well..

Lambert is technically decent on the ball..

Last season we did hit it long a fair amount from the back. We did have one of the best in the world as an outlet and he had a strike partner who knew how to hit the back of the net. There is no point now to smack it long to Balotelli and Sterling. So we now try to patiently play it forward giving the opposition time to reorganise and nullify what we are trying to do.
 
I'd rather our defenders knock it long if a midfield pass isn't on instead of all that fannying about knocking the ball square across the back and then to Migs to lump it anyway. Drives me to distraction.

Play Borini in the hope he'll get at least one goal that may convince someone to sign him.

Then only play players that will be here next season.

He has been below par this season..

But then it appears he hasn't been played effectively to make an impression which is kinda my point..

Either carry on posting like a good chap and stop looking to ruin every thread by trying to pick holes in everything I say.

Is telling someone to fuck off enough reason to ban them? That seems pretty common place around here.

As for the game tonight, it'll be a 0-0, just like the turgid shite at Anfield earlier in the season.
