Home grown Rule ..

From the 2010/11 campaign, the 20 Premier League clubs have voted to introduce measures which will see all teams required to have eight home-grown players out of a squad of 25...

this is our squad... i have highlighted those eligible under the 'home grown rule' As you can see.. We just sneak in with 10 out of the 25 being 'home grown'..

Out of those it is likely Nemeth, Masherano, Cavalieri and maybe at least one from Babel / Riera / N'Gog / Spearing will leave so we have plenty of room for buying in new players whether home-grown or not.

BTW - does 'home-grown' refer solely to those at the club for 3 or more years and under a certain age or does it also refer to English players by nationality ?

A player regardless of nationality needs to have played for a UK club for a minimum of 3 years before the AGE of 21 to be considered 'home grown'
Pacheco - and that lot probably come under home grown now.
