Because it nearly happened a few years earlier and you yourself experienced genuine danger.
You'd think things like that might be, you know, relevant.
The lying and cover up is abhorrent and he deserves a long prison sentence for that, but can you blame the man if he simply wasn't good enough for the job, surely the blame has to lay at the feet of those who employed him?
The Blame lies with the FA..
They where advised on numerous occasions regarding safety issues with the ground.. They should of done everything within their power to make sure the safety of fans was taken as a priorty
They didn't...
Even after warnings. they continued to host the Semi Final at Hillsborough.. Even after warnings they cocked up on the ticket allocation and gave the end of the ground, that didn't make sense to give to the Livepool fans, logistically.. Thats being said.. what happened to the Liverpool fans on that day could of well happened to any fans, but the if the FA had done what is to be expected of them before hand.. they could of easily prevented what happened...
It pisses me off, even to this day then FA have not taken any blame for the fiasco that was Hillsborough..
Is there any chance the FA could get punished as a result of this inquest?
Didn't you go to any games back then?!Because it nearly happened a few years earlier and you yourself experienced genuine danger.

Even as a kid I knew how dangerous going the match was. The away's would have people lying in wait for you, police forcing you to use certain routes despite knowing their were away fans waiting for you, bricks raining down onto trains or buses when you went past them.
The home games were safer cos you were with your own, but the police were the problem then, pushing & herding you & randomly hitting people with their sticks or forcing their horses so far into the crowd you'd be crushed & your feet would end up bruised & bloodied from the horses hooves, having to wait in fucking tiny areas cos they refused to open the turnstiles until they had the right number of men on the other side & waiting for ages.
Watching a match then was like being treated like a criminal, & we were fucking kids so got looked after by our own & even some of the police, it must have been well worse for the adults, I swear some of the policemen (& a helluva lot of the women too) would just pick a few fellas at random to abuse until they said or did something so they could lock them up.
So, yeah, of course it was dangerous, but what was the choice? Hardly any televised games & it cost very little to go, you got to stand with your mates all day & watch the team you lived & breathed.
The police were mostly cunts, the away fans were fucking animals, the facilities were non existent, & the majority of non match goers thought you were a hooligan, but that was football.
If everyone thought like that back then every away end would have been empty every week. We went to support our team despite the lack of comfort, being treated like cattle and being called scum on a weekly basis by the press. It was what you did. The mistake we made was trusting people who's job was to keep people safe to do their job. Are you blaming the fans for having the temerity to turn up?

Heh, not quite. I was going the game home & away from 8 with my mates & one of my mates dad's, then on our own (there were 7 of us went regularly) from 10.I didn't go to any game at Anfield until 1991, and then I sat with my dad and his friends because I was 9. You're only a few years older than me - were you feral or something?!
That is beyond words and belief....
I find it staggering that he has trouble remembering things but know we turned up late and drunk even though he didn't see any of us..prick
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-31850599Asking Mr Duckenfield about a conversation with the FA chief executive in which he lied about fans forcing an exit gate, Mr Menon said when it "suits you, you can't remember [but] when you want to assert something, your memory is absolutely fine".
"This is one of the strange realities of post-traumatic stress disorder," Mr Duckenfield replied, drawing gasps from the courtroom.

He was questioned about this very attitude yesterday by the families lawyers, just read his response, unbelievable.

Is there a date we expect this to all come to a conclusion?
Yeah, I read that.
He's got PTSD, people fucking died because of him and he is using PTSD as an excuse as to why he can't remember, I wanted to twat the prick prior to the hearings and now I want to twat him even more.
Sean, is that you?Ironic that I've been suffering from PTSD since he has, but mine is because of him.
Sean, is that you?
I don't remember the discussions of a permanent ban, do I'll chalk this up to the mods doing an oopsieAye. I asked for a ban for a month so I could concentrate on my own writing. Was very productive. Added nearly 25,000 words to a novel. But my ban never lifted after the month. Must have been sick of me. I've come back under the radar as someone else. Quite refreshing.
