Henderson - off to the USA for treatment.

I don't think it is.

You can take an educated guess what the injury is from the description. It's safe to assume its not responding to treatment or else he wouldn't be going to the States.

Those two things should be pretty concerning. It's an injury that technically you can play through but he's going to be limited until it heals fully.

This could mess up his entire season even if he does return in two weeks time

Could well be, its concerning that he's going to the US for treatment.
As you said it would be easier if he had surgery and you knew he would be out for x amount of weeks.

Jordan Henderson hasn't undergone surgery in the States. The #LFC captain has had a procedure involving a series of injections in his heel.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is returning to England after undergoing specialist treatment in America to cure an ongoing heel injury, according to Sky sources.

Henderson flew to the United States with club doctor Andy Massey on Monday to visit orthopaedic specialist Dr James Cozzarelli, in an attempt to remedy the problem which forced his substitution in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth last month.

The England midfielder has now undergone a procedure which involves a series of injections - but has not had surgery and is expected to report back to Liverpool's Melwood training complex on Thursday.
Liverpool have struggled in Henderson's absence, picking up just one point from nine and suffering back-to-back defeats to West Ham and Manchester United.
It is not yet clear if Henderson will be in contention to play in Norwich's visit to Anfield on Sunday.

Should have gone to ChinaTown then. They're great with needles and shit. Free massage too

So, injections are just a temporary pain relief solution right? Or are the injecting horse placenta into his heel?

I would assume some variation of the latter - I mentioned stem cell treatments at the outset and they are apparently used for plantar fasciitis.

Orthokine is available in the UK, so it wouldn't make sense to go for that - as are the usual anti inflammatory injections.

(I've been researching the shit out of this stuff for the last year, because of my inoperable back problems)

I see, interesting, a quick google search says that's Joggers Heel, something I have heard of before, and if I'm not wrong, that's not something that's going to go away without a prolonged period of rest?

The club's been paying a specialist headhunter company for about nine months now to find a new senior club doctor and we're still relying on one of the Academy doctors to look after our first team. Brilliant work as usual.

"Er, Mr.Henry, Mr.Werner, we've found this head in one of the medical museums. Will that do?"

Sign Eva!

Rodgers would probably make that gamble if it can save his job. I think that is the reason Henderson played injured. He is under so much pressure that he won't care what is the best for the player long term. It is only the next game that count.

That would explain why he's in the US then. For someone who doesn't hate Rodgers, you seem to make every post devoted to bending the truth to throw more mud his way. At least try to get your facts straight instead of fabricating bullshit.

You have too many posters here, on such a negative permanent high pitch, that I think you have a problem. It's turning into MODO land. 360 Suicide watch. All the good posters are more or less quiet.

If all you have to offer is a permanent cry for the managers head you should sit down and shut the fuck up. Fucking wankers.

Yep, and it's all they seem to post about.

Arn is definitely Modo btw. Has to be. Agger, Lucas and Rodgers are his main discussion topics.
It's a pity Modo got Rodgersitis because he used to post across all threads and kept us up to date with the various leagues across Europe.

What is a real pity is that it seems to be highly contagious...

Henderson is back in training today and could be in contention for a place in the squad against Norwich.
Doubt he'd be risked though.

And at the end of it, most likely, the academy doctor will be promoted.

So have I but, though I'm no expert, I suspect there'd be a time limit on any such prohibition. I can't imagine they'd be allowed to dictate her future employment indefinitely.
