I thought this was already common knowledge? Anyway, fuck him and fuck City. He's a twat who just follows the biggest trail of cash and has never taken on a genuine managerial challenge in his life. Worse than Mourinho.

Why would he though?

And did worse than his predecessor at Bayern.

I'm not sure. Maybe to see if he is actually a decent manager, or just a preening pseudo-intellectual narcissist who simply goes to the club where he has the most money and best players and everyone can tell him how great and clever he is. What's he going to prove at City? even fucking Pellegrini can win the title at that club. Anyone could.

He's in a competitive sport, but he doesn't seem to enjoy genuine competition.

Does he actually coach? I honestly don't know. I know he gets the credit, but what input does he actually have?

I think he does.

Comedy spleen-venting aside, loads of his colleagues and players, past and present have made several gushingly effusive comments about his dedication, obsessive attention to detail and deep understanding of tactics. Kroos said he "was the best coach I ever had in terms of his football ideas, his plans for playing against sides and presenting solutions to his own team”.

There's so many more, but they're all equally nauseating.

I still don't like him. Never have, unless he was beating other English teams in Europe. I liked him then. But he's a shithouse and a showoff and I hope he fails miserably.

*heads over to redcafe to watch the meltdown*

The deluded bellends were convinced he was going to them.

Depends on what happens this season no?
Heynckes won 1 league title and 1 CL in terms of major titles in 3 seasons.

Guardiola has 2 league titles in 2 seasons so far.

This could be the biggest challenge for him yet, in terms of the quality, depth and age of the squad he's taking over.
At Barcelona, he had the best player in the galaxy and an excellent supporting cast.
At Bayern, he inherited the richest and best side in what has been a one-team league these few seasons.

While City has some top class regular starters, there are still glaring weaknesses in the team and it is clearly not as good as the other two clubs he's taken over. For a team with their riches, they've just squeaked past to win two titles, one by goal difference and the other by 2 points. They've managed to lose 2 title races by 11 and 8 points, one of them to a Man Utd squad on its last legs, the other to a Chelsea squad with one striker.

Of course, the checkbook will open in the summer and he'll be able to buy and attract all the guys he wants to fix that. But implementing his style and replacing Sagna, whoever partners Kompany, maybe Kompany himself given his injuries these days, Yaya Toure (no way he's staying there now), the aging Zabaleta and Kolarov, the non/under-performing Bony, maybe Navas (though he's better this season), the crocked Nasri... is a shitload of work.

So, in a sense, it is a great challenge, but only relative to the other two cushy jobs. 😉

A shitload of work? They've won the title twice with fucking Mancini and Pellegrini in charge, and he still has one of the most expensive squads in the world, who are again challenging for the title. He'll have a list of 5 players and £300m to spend on them in summer. I'm just amazed he hasn't signed anyone for them this window.

Brendan Rodgers would win the title at City

Does he have the right personnel there though? His style of play makes extreme demands upon players. Yaya will be fucked out I'd imagine.

Guardiola to city and their limitless funds is like playing Fifa on amateur level.
I know his Barcelona and Bayern teams have been successful but his style of play bores the shit out of me. Pass pass pass pass yawn yawn yawn.

I'm just happy he isn't going to Utd. Another one chalked off the list to leave the path clear for Giggs to take over this summer.

Wouldn't it be great if Giggs was installed as #1, with the Neville brothers as his assistants?

A man can dream.
