Granero interested in Liverpool move

Perhaps. But would he be behind Downing? I doubt it.
Yeah but he isn't a right midfielder is he? If he is, he's not a very good one. The only thing I like about Granero is that he works hard, but he needs to be inspired. Don't think he'll find it being behind Lucas at LFC.

Dude, you've stuck at it valiantly, however I think it's finally time to give up your Granero campaign.

He'd understand.

Haha! Yeah, perhaps you're right. I'm finding it hard to believe that the player I once saw became shit so fast (without playing for us).

He could be a perfect moneyball signing.

Once extremely promising then turning bad and everyone kind of forgets about him.

Would thrive from playing in a team that doesn't play on the counter like Real or just incredibly poor overall like QPR.

On the cheap this lad could be our Michu in a prize to class ratio kind of way. Probably not but I actually like this kind of signings if they come cheap and I have always had a soft spot for Granero ever since his Getafe days.

Yeah, he's a very good player. Real Madrid have bought a lot of players in his position, but that doesnt make him shite.

Can be our VDV signing.
Great two years of the press fawning over him because he has half a dozen decent games when he joins before we ship him out to Hamburg. That's what we need! 😉

Not that the accolades were undeserved though. He was very much part of why Spurs had done well in the past 2 seasons, together with Modric. About a dozen goals and 7 or 8 assists a season, joined for a reported £8 million fee, and then moved on to Hamburg for a reported £10.3 million fee. I don't mind if we did some business like that.

I tried reading through this thread, and lost interest, because the old quote system is all fucked up.

Bottom line, is he any good?

He's shite.
A permo-crocked washed up England international was starting in front of him most of the season.

To be fair, QPR's style of football is not exactly taylor-made for a player like Granero.

Which makes you wonder if he did it because of the wages offered. In his defence, it was of little coincidence that he scored his only goal and made his only assist playing under Mark Hughes, who signed him. Lost his role as a regular starting ever since Hughes' departure.
