Warnock is available, have we actually had a better LB than him since he has gone?

He is better than what we have but his positional sense was often poor and he is often exposed at Villa.
 
Being better than Insua, Dossena and Konchesky is a bit like being better than Lucas or Eggnog.

It doesn't really prove anything. Other than we have a really shit squad.
 
Signing a defensive midfielder that is at least half as good as Masher would do a lot to solve our defensive problems. Warnock isn't good enough.

When players like Robert fucking Huth dont want to come to us, where would we get a player who is "at least half as good as" Mascher. But I know what you mean
 
Like a number of others, Warnock's reputation has been unjustifiably enhanced by the terrible quality of those who replaced him.

He wasn't that good then and he isn't now.
Better than Dossena, Insua, Aurelio and Konchesky is something that noone would want on their gravestone.

I like Aurelio, and he's not as bad a defender as some on here make out.
 
Aurelio has talent but as a professional player he is useless because he is absurdly unreliable.

He's not even any good as back up because there'd be no guarantee he'd be fit if you needed him.
