Thinks he owns the place

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere.
So, sent home to Merseyside today from the England camp. After he trained this morning, and felt his groin injury again after 10 mins.

Highely doubtful for saturdays match, and could in worst case be out for a while.

Fucking fantastic job there Capello. Rooney is allowed to travel home while Gerrard has to "try" to get fit for a meaningless match tomorrow.

Rafa will be fuming, and rightly so.

He had an op on his groin last season, and started this season with another groin problem that clearly hasn't gone away. That must be encouraging for Aquilani.

Gerrard out of England game
Liverpool skipper returns to club for treatment on groin

Gerrard: Ruled outSteven Gerrard has been ruled out of England's clash with Belarus on Wednesday and has returned to Liverpool for treatment on his groin injury.

The midfielder was replaced at half-time in the 1-0 defeat to Ukraine on Saturday but initially stayed with the squad for his fitness to be assessed.

He took part in training on Tuesday but had to leave the session early and Capello has now confirmed he will not be involved against Belarus.

"He didn't finish training because the pain was the same as yesterday. Unfortunately he is going back to Liverpool," Capello said on Sky Sports News.

Capello made Gerrard travel half-way down the country last year because he didn't believe Liverpool's own medical team. It's gone beyond a joke.

Rafas on a collision course with 4 national managers after this weekend. Spain, England, Holland and Denmark.
After this, it won't get any better..

Thankfully, Del Bosque said today that Torres won't be involved tomorrow. Not because of injury, but because he had planned it already. SO WHY COULDN'T HE TRAVEL HOME THEN YOU FAT OLD WRINKELY GIT!!
Won't be surprised though, if he starts tomorrow.

yes but to be fair Macca certain players seemed to be always injured for internationals then be ok 3 days later, another award for Giggs

You cannot blame them for being suspicious

Then why did they send Rooney home?

he wasn't going to play the england game so I fail to see what difference it would have made returning home. all that has happended is he has pulled his groin on an england training pitch rather than a liverpool training pitch.
there is a case for arguing he should have gone to the england camp in the first place seeing as it was a meaningless game. I think gerrard's groin injury explains his lackluster peformance v chelsea.

No, but they should be consistent.

yet another reason why I fucking hate internationals, England, Spain, and whoever else we have players representing. Fucking cunts the lot of them.

Perhaps he will retire after next year's World Cup, to prolong his club career. I hope so.

Gerrard a doubt and Mascherano and Lucas returning from halfway across the world just before the Sunderland game. Marvelous.

Dont forget Insua as well. Oh and Dirk was injured in Australia.

Doomed we are!

Yet Fergie's gang of cunts can be withdrawn/sent home anytime. People wonder why there's incredible hatred shown towards them and accusations of bias from the football governing bodies.

One rule in every instance it seems.

Maybes it's just me, but I reckon Stevie & Rafa are pulling a fast one.

This is pain he's reporting to them, not anything they can verify otherwise, so it's possible Stevie's simply saying & doing the right things but blagging to get out of a meaningless game.

Lets hope so. But evidence since Capello has taken over the job......

I hope you're right Jon. We'll find out on Saturday, I guess.

None of the above will be noted if we lose at the weekend.
[/quote]

Haha, absolutely.

I fully expect him to start for us.

I think he's taking the piss a little though, after the way they performed against the Ukraine, regardless of having already qualified, some of these 'professional' players deserve a good kicking. They get paid to play football and choose to represent their country at it.

Doss cunts.

Id like to bang Ferguson.
Like Maxwell does in that old Beatles song.

Good lad !

According to the Daily Mirror, apparently Stevie's scan revealed that his injury is worse than first suspected. Yet he was forced to continue training with England whilst Schrek was allowed home on Saturday night.

Meanwhile over in Spain the Spanish doctor reports that Nando was feeling pain whilst kicking the ball with his right foot but still appeared on the bench for last nights match.

Is there nothing we can do about situations like this?
