Gerrard tribute - favourite moments

My favourite goal would have to be the 3rd goal against West Ham in the cup final.

Everything about the goal is just insane - the moment, the venom he hit it with despite being knackered, the accuracy, the distance ... just fucking ridiculous really.

With the Olympiacos goal you expected him to hit ... we saw the pass across the box, we saw Gerrard make the run, we expected the shot ... we all screamed SHOOT!

The 3rd vs. West Ham did anyone really expect him to hit it first time from that absurd distance?

The thing with the West Ham goal as well is just as he's hitting it the number of minutes added for injury time is announced. I don't know why, it just adds to it.

The one that sticks in my mind is the goal against Man Utd when we beat them two nil.

Wasn't a corner - just a cross from our favourite Norwegian in open play.

In retrospect my favourite Gerrard moment, spectacular goals included, was his turning to our supporters and whipping them up as we went back to the halfway line after the goal. Tyldesley on the commentary was going "Hello! Hello! Here we go!" but I thought he was just trying to prevent people switching channels. I don't think I've ever been happier to be wrong in my entire life.
