I think it was a cross-cum-shot.

I'm fairly certain it was a shot, TBH though I dont care, it was great full stop.

I was right behind as he hit it, you could see it was in as soon as he hit it, though the way he looked beforehand it was clearly a cross

It was an attempted cross to Kuyt on the far post but to be perfectly honest, I'm not arsed as it's a goal at the end of the day.

To be fair, i wouldn't put it past Gerrard. That half volley against Boro was probably even harder, but he got that to loop into the top corner. A bit of luck is always involved, but he gets it on target with more power and precision than anyone else in Premiership right now....so i won't it put it beyond him.
If he claimed it, no body can argue. But he hasn't and his posture before kicking looked more like he was going to cross than anything else..
