My biggest issue with him is that he doesn't pass the ball Forward often enough and and it's always safety first.

Hendo for all his fault, at least has the balls to try a pass forward, with wini it's nearly always checking back and slowing down the play. He is a neat and tidy player, against the big teams this is more obvious. We need better options in midfield, even with naby coming in.

Yeah, but he wasn’t always so safety-first. Even at Newcastle he was much more adventurous and in Eredivisie he played 7 out of 10 passes forward and scored incredible (for a midfielder) numbers of goals both home and away. So he has a lot more attacking game in his locker than he is showing, for whatever reason.

I don't doubt the technical skills he has. But it's been almost 18 months and we are still waiting for him to kick on.
