When we went Munich for the pre season there was this Lebanese gaff round the corner from our flat, and the dude there kept it open till the early hours and it was full of groups of sound people getting wrecked all night in the week, and I was all like, how civilised.

Anyways, the Lebanese dude said that Ancelotti lived in the top floor flat above the bar, and he was a grumpy twat and everyone in the neighbourhood thought he was a total nob. At the time I wondered why he'd live on some average street above a pub but the next day walking through this lovely park I saw it from the other side, overlooking the park, and guess it must be one of the coolest central spots. That is my boring Ancelotti anecdote. Oh, any of you guys ever pop in The Vernon on the corner of Dale St ever? The dude who runs it is the spit of him. And he's a grumpy fucker too.
Used to go to the Vernon in the 80s, long before all day opening, as you could get an afternoon 'staybie'. Weird sensation being let out of dark pub, pissed, at 5pm into bright sunshine. One time I walked out, got knocked down by a taxi reversing up a one way street, picked myself up, dusted myself down and walked home ... if I'd been sober I would have broken multiple bones.
Can't remember what the landlord looked like though.

It was where Degsy Hatton held court and led his revolt from. He's back there now, in an office next door doing something with city bicycles or something. Looks like an Albanian arms dealer.

That's a proper drinking story; banal, vague, funny and with a hint of reckless danger

football is a fickle sport.

things can change in an instance in a matter of weeks.

Other than Wenger at Arsenal, Low at Germany & Fergie at Utd, there has been no other time that a manager has been the right man for the job...it's just a matter of how long before things go sour.

& to answer the OP...no.
