Fucking VAR

And the decision to have those "heavy flags" for the linos as they call it, is a fucking joke.
During the West Ham - Leicester game when Diop scored in a clear offside position, the lino didnt even raise his flag and he just shrugged when the tv camera switched to him. It was the perfect example of this shitshow of VAR and offsides.

Needs fixing before fans get back in - couldn't think of anything worse than fans being conditioned NOT to celebrate when the ball hits the net. Fuck that - this is why we watch.

that is another abysmal thing they introduced

makes me sound like a conservative
but it makes no sense at all

Here's the thing that bothers me most about VAR. They trialed it in multiple leagues/competitions and the reaction was overwhelmingly negative. Then seeing what a complete load of shit it was they rolled it out anyway. I have zero faith in FIFA/Uefa/the PL getting this right because they knew exactly what the were getting when they did this.

I suspect the extra controversy it generates drives social media engagement and they view this as a positive effect.

When fans are back maybe every club's fanbase should coordinate booing during every VAR check, continuously. That might help the PL get the hint.

Wasn't it widely hailed as a positive addition to the world cup, though..? Didn't we all agree that they used it sensibly and well then? Or am I remembering that wrongly?
