They've increased stadium capacity, they've backed the manager with £200m war chest (Kieta + VVD + Salah + AOC + Solanke).
They're ones who got Klopp in the first place, Klopp could have waited for the United or BM job but they convinced him otherwise.

I think it's time we acknowledge their stewardship has been very good at this moment in time.

Compared to the cowboys, they've been stunningly good.

In a more balanced evaluation, I think you'd have to say they've done well without being, so far, exceptionally good.

What they're usually good at is dealing with particular issues. They've been poor at reacting to sudden problems, such as Suarez and the FA. That really highlights the negatives of having a scattered absentee ownership. If there's a problem looming on the horizon, and they have time to think about it, such as the stadium and revenue, then they're a very safe pair of hands, with real sensitivity, too.

They've also, at times, been positive in the transfer market.

But to progress, I'd say they need to really settle into an ongoing process: be present more often, improve their week to week, day to day, monitoring and interaction within the club, and develop a more coherent long term system of management.

They key comparison, I'd say, is with the John Smith/Peter Robinson running of the club. They ran the club really smoothly, always anticipating issues on multiple levels, having almost a sixth sense for when to plan and act. FSG are, aside from Gordon, too distant to do that, which is why they remain, largely, an overly passive and reactive regime. If someone shouts a lot and whistles, they'll snap into action, but they need to move on to the next level now. And that's hard when you're in various parts of the US, distracted by numerous other business commitments and pressures.

Bringing in Peter Moore was an excellent move, and I'll give them more time and trust to see how he joins things up.

I think they have been great personally. As Macca said - Especially when compared to the two cowboys. What's not to like? They have backed the club in the transfer market. Sorted out Anfield (Although I've yet to see it in the flesh yet - Really looking forward to that) - Secured some decent marketing revenue. All in... Good eggs!

I said hello to John Henry once - I'm not sure he heard me but he did give a little smile. That was a fun day actually - 'The Epic Swindle' day - Boss! 😀

I guess it's not very important in the great scheme of things, but one thing Peter Moore has changed since he arrived is the presence of the club's execs during match days. He's all over the place behind the scenes, from meeting and greeting the visiting club's entourage to overseeing all the pics of young kids, disabled, elderly visitors who've had special pics arranged with the players. I know it sounds superficial but it's such a difference from when Ayre was the man on the spot and once he placed his arse on his seat in the directors' box he was fixed there for the duration, and other clubs' chairman and directors used to mutter that it was like visiting some sort of ghost ship, which 'helped' distance LFC from the network of influence as far as the other big clubs were concerned - we became the Nobby No Mates of the Premier League. Moore seems a smart cookie, as well as a decent bloke, who understands the need to cultivate a certain reputation for the club at all levels, partly because it's pragmatic and beneficial to do so, but also because it's the right thing to do. So I think, belatedly - very belatedly some would say - FSG have finally got to grips with the traditions of the club and have got an individual in who'll work on that.

I'd like to see our summer business before lauding them with praise for their work on the transfer market. We don't know how much of the VVD cash is offset by a Coutinho sale at this moment in time.

As Macca says, they do deserve praise in other areas and I think they are now getting a lot more right than wrong.

Surely vvd cash was waiting to be spent from last summer, rather than a cash from a Phill sale

I am quite pleased with the way they have been running things - also their spending this season should be no surprise as some have posted here - the net spend in previous seasons was not that great anyway. However, it could be that the spending this year is down to having strong faith in Klopp and his ability to attract the players we have got. To be honest as much as Man City are successful - I think players maybe wary of playing for Pep - he seems like a massive passive aggressive type, and Klopp is very different in attitude to his players and also the chances he will give to develop them is better than the other managers.

Great things are happening behind the scenes on the commercial side of the club - long term initiatives that owners with any sort of plan to sell in the next 3-5 years wouldn't be trying to set up. There have definitely been some screw-ups but I have to say I couldn't be happier with Peter Moore in charge. He has the great mix of heart and love for the club combined with leadership of significant organisations who are in fierce competition in the market. He is going to continue to transform our great club.

They haven't been afraid of spending big and backing managers. it will all come down to net spent by September 1st 2018 when the courtinho saga should be sorted.

Investment wise in players and off the pitch revenue has been superb.

Shame we've won fuck all in that time though.
