...well, a mate of mine there who's a football nut (like most of the rest of the country as far as I can tell) with some interesting snippets about Suarez and Diego Godin, who's mentioned in the media thread as someone we might look at if we were to need a replacement for Agger.
On Suarez: appaz.PSG offered him absolutely silly money to sign for them but he was never likely to take it, as he's majorly grateful to the club (including Kenny) and the supporters for standing by him in the recent hoo-hah and is determined to repay that support.
On Godin: not in good form for Atletico at the moment but that might make this a good time to do a deal. He's capable of vastly better than he's currently producing and could well be a very good signing, though like Coates he'd need some time to get used to the Prem.
NB this guy is a supporter of Penarol, the great rivals of Nacional which both Suarez and Godin used to play for, so he's got no cause to big them up excessively.
