Klopp's set up is not about the midfielders needing to contribute too much in assists and goals. When your FBs provide about 40 assists and you have a prolific front 3 that are working together to unlock defenses I guess that's just not usually how we roll. of course, there are times we have needed it, and Gini's performance off the bench against Barca was a perfect illustration of the benefits of the extra midfielder to make the difference.
