I think United, Arsenal and Spurs will take more points off us and City this season than last. The positions may well end up being the same, but I just don't think they'll such a bigger gulf between the sides. United have done some sensible business and Arsenal have a forward line among the best in world football. If Emery can get the best out of them, similar to Rodges with SAS, then Arsenal will progress quickly, even with their defensive issues. Spurs have also signed well. Ndombele looks quality, but lets see if they hold onto Eriksen before we judge their summer.
City's Rodri looks a perfect match for them. His passing under pressure, height and physicality means he's going to be perfect for that team.
Success this season for ourselves will depend on injuries, potential burn out of our front three, the impact of the first teams of Keita, Chamberlain and Shaqiri, and how well However and Brewster can deputise for Sturridge and Moreno/general defensive cover. My concern this year is now how much our rivals have spent, but how they have spent it. None of the big buys seem to carry much risk and will go to have decent careers. Blah. Hopefully they all break their legs and we cruise to the title and CL number 7.
