One month away from the first game of the season, any change of heart?

We'll surely challenge for the title, but can we win it?

Any criteria that must be filled in order for you to start believing?

Personally, I've never said that we can't win it, we'll be up there challenging for the title, but I wouldn't bet on winning it. I'm not looking at potential signings just our current squad.

Anyway, my criteria?
Mata, a good centre half and a left fullback.
 
We'll "surely" challenge, will we? I'd love to share the optimism. I'd be over the moon with top 4.

The signings so far haven't exactly inspired me, and there are still too many also rans in our squad (and a few in the starting eleven) that makes me think we're still some way off a title push.

If we maintain our form from the second half of last season then yes, we will challenge and we will surprise people. We're very much a dark horse.

The issue is that in recent years Liverpool only seem to perform when the pressure is off and when we have nothing to play for. Changing that will prove Kenny's most important task.

Sad to say - I agree with this miserable summation - though I'd be quietly content (rather than 'over the moon') with a top 4 promising further forward momentum.

Top 4 would be a massive achievement. No chance of a title challenge.

Edit, based on current squad that is, seeing as no one knows who / if we're signing anyone else.
 
Regardless of who we sign I'm predicting our highest position throughout the season will be third and we'll come 4th/5th.
 
the signings we are making -- and look like making -- don't make a lot of sense to me. if woy was signing these players then i think the fan reaction would be hostile. i'm willing to take a punt on kenny being a genius and i think that is the position of most fans right now. these players will need to add up to a team which is greater than the sum of its parts. i have no idea at all how we'll do this season but i'm looking forward to it.

I don't entirely. Top four, while no easy matter, is defo within reach IMO and, while it'll be an achievement, I wouldn't go as far as calling it a massive one. I don't think we'll quite make it to the title, but again "no chance" is OTT in my book.
 
I would stake my cock and balls on United, Chelsea and City being in the top 4 irrespective of what happens between now and the start of the season. Unless, they're all killed somehow. That leaves Arsenal & Tottenham both of whom are on the receiving end of twattish player behaviour at the moment, which is good.
That said, Arsenal will still pull it off, they always do.
 
It's going to be an ultra-competitive season that's for sure.

We'll be in the mix, I can't wait.

As things stand now mate i think it would be a great achievement if we can get back into the top four, a lot may change but 4 of the squads who finished above us remain very strong imo.

I just can't see how we're going to win the title this season, maybe if we make a couple of surprise signings i'll feel slightly more confident.
 
The signings we've made so far don't inspire much confidence. Much will hinge on selling the excess and using those funds to bring in better quality players than those sold.
There will be a few more players in and the quality thereof will determine whether we're pretenders to the throne or also rans with Top 4 as our aim.

1. The new players will have to hit the ground running and settle quickly.
2. We definately need a wide player and left fullback that go straight into the starting XI.
3. We need a flying start to the League.
4. We need to build on last seasons home form and improve away..

You gotta believe that Top 4 is achievable with the current squad as it is. We could of got it last season bar a result or two. With an improved squad, we must aim higher and do better!
