benitez has a bloody awful record with buying fullbacks. Josemi, Kromkamp, Dossena, Degen, Aurelio, Insua. All awful in one way or another. Only Johnson has been decent and he cost a fucking fortune.

Bar Dossena, the rest of that lot have been either free transfers or very cheap ones.
I guess we got what we paid for.

I wouldn't have said that Auerilio was an awful signing but his injury record is.
Add to that, Arbeloa, who has a more than decent full back and came cheap too.

I have to admit I forgot Arbeloa. Wasn't a huge fan anyway but yeah he did a job.

Aurelio is a decent enough player but his injury record means he is fucking useless. Some might argue similar about Degen.

josemi, Kromkamp, Dossena and Insua are just not very good

Nah Degen is just shit AND made of glass..

Aurelio was in the Premiership XI for last season so I'd say he's more than 'decent enough', if only he was healthier..

Haha, he was quite quick and had great control. I suppose it probably wasn't Insua then.
