a.k.a. the front 3 move between each other like they did on saturday (after poulson was thankfully hauled off). Torres can whip crosses into the box, or kuyt or jova can and they can be met by a midfielder or striker. Sadly we are too defensive and lacking confidence presently to risk it from the start

It won't happen.

I suspect we'll see the same team as the one selected last weekend (barring injuries). Not that i have a problem with that personally, I thought that side looked pretty decent as well.
 
i thought last weekend torres looked horribly exposed, raul on the right was borderline stupidity and poulson a complete liability.

I wasn't shocked to see him play shite in a crap cup against a weaker side in the pissing rain.

Width can be provided by the full backs and the front two pulling wide. This also allow Cole, Gerrard and Meireles to attack deep from midfield.

Besides, we don't have any good wingers to justify playing with wingers. Even with 4-2-3-1 now we have minimal width. Cole is always cutting in, Kuyt is not a winger. We should play the players we have in a formation that brings out the best in them.

A diamond midfield will mean that Poulsen wont have to do much expect cover for the fullbacks when they attack or just patrol the area in front of the centrebacks. We dont have to worry about not getting enough attacking from midfield from him because the rest can pick up the slack. Gerrard and Meireles can both attack knowing they have Poulsen behind them, or they can alternate attacking and defending. Cole gets to play in his favoured central position behind 2 strikers. Torres gets a partner upfront so he doesn't get battered. And we'll have sparks off the bench in terms of N'gog, Jovanovic, Maxi (maybe), Pacheco and Babel (hopefully).

The only issue is that I would have a bette DM than Poulsen, but we have to make do with what we have.

We've been doing shit in a 4-2-3-1, so why not give it a go? If it fails then I'll put up my hands to say fuck the diamond. What've we got to lose?
 
What's the point of all these formation shit when Roy himself are fucking clueless when it comes to getting the best out of the players we have in the team?? ??

And he has zero fucking tactics to start with and don't fucking know what he should do after the team he chose play badly in the first or second half of the game.

The players we have in the team is good enough to beat Blackpool but looking at the tactics, formation and i guess shit coaching style from Roy we cannot guarantee anything.

If Roy can drop Agger who is a left footed player don't ever hope that the dream of yours watching a right footed player like Kelly to play at left wing back.

First of all, drop Johnson, he's a liability in defense. Play Kelly there. Play Gerrard at right midfield and Jova on the left. Cole and Torres in attack. We will see the difference.

Defence picks itself mostly. I'd just have Agger ahead of Skrtel.

Midfield, I like two players who can sit in there and dominate possession with their passing. One holding and one playing slightly ahead. Gerrard is fine in central midfield but he's our most dynamic player and the biggest goalscoring threat. So I'd rather have him in the final third. Shelvey and Meireles therefore in midfield with Meireles holding and Shelvey spraying the ball around.

In attack, Gerrard on the right (free role with Johnson providing the width) with Cole in the centre (where he was bought to play) and Kuyt on the left (where he plays best: refer Dutch national side). Gerrard and Kuyt can interchange if required. Torres up front.

I've got zero faith in Glenjos defensive ability at the moment.

I don't think pushing him forward would help his cause but I don't want him in the starting 11 off the back of the past month's performances for club and country.

So tentatively I'd suggest pushing Kuyt up top alongside Fernando, Glenjo outwide with the seemingly dependable Kelly behind him.
 
yeah Kelly is a RB, but when he went on loan he was played as a LB so hence why i have put him there. Every time ive seen him play RB he defends well and attacks like johnson. Thats why i put him left wing back
 
Didn't he play LB for us last year against lyon? Then got injured and we conceded 2 goals?
 
Johnson doesn't deserve to be playing for England at the moment anyway.
