Anyway if you can see past all the cringe between Gullit and whoever, Alisson and Van Dijk were in the FIFA XI

Watched the last hour or so including the very awkward part between that woman and Jose...I had no idea where she was going with that.

Sweet Lord !!! - this is proper cringe - I mean why does it need to be like some Hollywood bollox

Fucking hell Alisson - would it have hurt your legs to just have mentioned Liverpool FC in your acceptance speech !!!

Ronaldo didn’t turn up and didn’t have VVD or Messi as no1 😀

VVD had Messi no1.

In fairness Messi deserved it. 50 goals and another title is insane.

Pep deserved the coaches award too. Treble and 98 points after 100 last year and playing amazing football.

Fair play to Klopp but it’s a bit weird.

The thing is hes been so insanely good for so long people have just gotten used to it. 10 years ago Kaka won it, he scored 19 goals in all competitions. Messi scored 51 goals in 50 games last season and people think he had an average year. The guy is a complete freak, there will never be another player like him.

100%

It's not weird.

It's based on last year. Not last year, plus what they did the year before.

Based on last year, we got one point less than City, but also won the European Cup, all with a squad costing less than half what City's cost.

So, looking at last year alone, which is the entire point, he was clearly the better manager.

You're arguing with the guy who, in the constant and, in my view, misguided, quest to appear maturely objective, falls the other side of the fence and consistently praises our opponents while talking down anything Liverpool
I'm aware of this, but I find myself compelled to try to correct him, however much of a sisyphean struggle it may be.

Not for me. City did something nobody has ever done, won all domestic trophies with the second highest points ever and were a dodgy VAR call away from a CL semi.

We won the CL, bombed out of the cups and came second in the league. It’s not like we are Leicester City. We have one of if not the best teams in the world.

Pep gets the vote for me, but it’s hilarious he didn’t win it. Will add to his Klopp paranoia.

Hardly. What Klopp has done is incredible, just not as good as what Pep achieved last season imo. I praise success regardless of who it is and I couldn’t give a fuck if some of our fans dislike that. Doesn’t mean I don’t love our success any less.

Ha. Mate you tried to poke holes in their 8-0 demolishing of Watford claiming their CB’s were switching off after being 5-0 up inside 17 mins 😀

That's not what I said.

If you reread the post, I said their centre backs were waltzed past twice, whilst they were 1 nil up, by the worst side in the league.

That is true, it happened, check the highlights out if you don't believe me.

It was simply an observation of how weak their defence still is, & how better sides will have some joy against them if they attack them before they get this defence shored up with the return of stones et al.

Eight nil is an impressive scoreline, but there's no point in ignoring their (relative) defensive frailties this season because they scored a lot in one game.

For me 97 points and a CL beats what City did last season.

Especially considering their team cost twice as much as ours

Also have no idea how Ramos & Marcelo were in the FIFA XI.

What the fuck did they do?

Bummed out the CL by AJax and finish like 50 point behind Barca? Are you mad?

Teams will have to get the ball and be able to play though their impressive press to do that. Only Norwich have shown an ability to do it so far with any regular success.

I honestly don’t think it’ll make much difference but hopefully I’m wrong.

Guardiola's failed in his main mission and only did well in his secondary objectives. They want the CL and he hasn't got them past the quarters.

No way was he better than Klopp last season.

Explain why the VAR call was dodgy.
