What a signing

Fernando's best goal for me was his goal v Blackburn or his top bin smash against Arsenal in the champions league

But we were told he is gone in exchange for Auguero plus 30 mil... tee hee hee

Boro away?

Or how about his 1st against Chelsea?

Or Inter away?

To beat Fowler and Owen to 50 is amazing.

Lets keep him fit next season and get over 80.

an amazing testament to the best striker in the world ...

it's nice to see a post from you Pat about Torres without the 'Oh Drogba is better than him' bs.

Torres is phenomenal.

Together with Stevie, both fit hopefully next season, there is hope!

Supporting roles by Kuyt, Benny, Xabi (Barry), (Tevez or another top stiker on the left), Mascher Lucas (or another), Carra, Skrtel, Agger, Insua (Johnson), Aurelio, Babel (or another), Reira, Reina (we need a better back up) and some from our reserves... there is possibilities.

50goals in 2 seasons - fucking phenomenal. Even more so in todays day and age where there defenders are bigger, stronger, faster.

So he's averaging 25goals a season - I'll gladly take that for next season thank you very much Fernando!!

p.s
He's been broken for a lot of this season too!!!!! 😱

His Chelsea goal, as it sunk in that we had a mega special talent on our books.

Closely followed by the Arsenal goal in the Champions league where he turned and hammered it in.

Has scored 50 goals quicker than Fowler, Owen, Rush, Aldridge.

What a guy.
Lets hope he never leaves for £8m, one year before his contract is up. Otherwise he'll become a cunt... 😉

50 goals in 84 games is an amazing achievement, especially for a skinny Spaniard just starting out in the English league. My favourite Torres goal is probably the one against Marseille where he dribbled at hyperspeed past two defenders inside the box - he looked like he was a different species, never mind a different class. I've watched it several times in slo-mo, and even there he's almost astoundingly quick.

He's fast becoming an all time LFC legend.

We now have 3 players that you wouldn't swap with anyone else in the world.

I'd go for five

Reina, Alonso, Masher, Gerrard & Torres

He's looked tired and a bit peed off for the past month or so, and now he's going to spend half the summer playing in the Confederations Cup! I hate international matches.

He's really good and has had a great season, but I just don't see him belonging amongst those names ... Those are players who are amongst the best in the world in their position, top 3 all of them I'd say. Alonso isn't that I don't think.

Is right.

Alonso is outstanding but he is far more replacable than the other 4. Iniesta, Xavi, even Essien.

edit: I know they don't play exactly the same style as Alonso.

I'd personally put him top 5 in the world in the blink of an eye. I wouldn't swap him for the others though for no other reason than he fits in well here with the other players and the system, there is no saying another player will be able to do that as well (regardless of their ability) as him.

my favorite goal is the OM away goal in the game we had to beat them to progress.
That's the one I'm talking about, you div.

And we've had the 'Torres is skinny' conversation before. He's not Yossi, obv, but for a striker he's not exactly built like Drogba or Heskey either. And he has girly hair and a prettyboy face. Did you honestly think he'd take to the physical side of the PL the way he has done?

div? charming.

I said what MY favorite torres goal was it has nothing to do with your opinion or what you think was tores best goal I didn't even look at what you thought was torres best goal.
As for torres' build he is 6 foot and I'd estimate him being at least 14 stone.

For me, his first for the club against Chelsea just epitomises his class and the impact on the team.

Snap.

Estimate whatever you like, Spidey. He's 12st 4lbs according to the offal.

I didn't for one. Never had any problem with his ability, but I was initially wary (to say the least) of signing him because of these other concerns.

Exactly. By Spidey's estimates he'd have me at 17 stone odd! I'm 14 and a bit stone and I'm nowhere near as thin as Fernando and it showed when we played last time out!
